There's no such thing as "overcapacity", countries produce as much as other countries are willing to pay for. If you produce more than you can sell then you make a loss. If China was over-producing without sufficient buyers they'd be running a net loss. So China produces more because countries are buying more, if countries buy less then china will produce less to avoid running losses. The US just can't keep with Chinese manufacturing because it exported it's manufacturing base decades ago, so now they come up with ridiculous terms like "over-capacity".

Ok economics...if you are producing thousands of widgets in your country and they are not buying those widgets then you send that overcapacity more than your country needs and send it to other countries. This is usually at a discount (this undercuts the prevailing market prices) which negatively impacts the receiving countries native widget producers. This ends up closing businesses and making the receiving country dependent on your widget supply. Which you later can raise the price back to normal.

Back in March 2021 , Blinken told Chinese diplomats that he was talking to China "from a position of strength" and asked China to obey the International Rules Based Order . He was rebutted by the Chinese diplomat - Yang Jiechi immediately . Will Bliinken meet w/ Yang Jiechi ( retired ) and quarrel again this time ? Will Bliinken ask China to choose between "At the Table or On the Menu " as well ?

Are you saying you got distracted by the wordplay and deflections? The majority of the globe wants to live in a rules based world where international laws and charters are respected. You need to understand that N.America and Europe and pretty much all ASEAN countries+plus Japan and S.Korea and Australia, and India and more... Are all trying to reason with China on various issues. China's current friends are...countries with no other choices.

@@gudnikristinn Ever wonder why the US calls it the "International Rules Based Order" and not simply "International Law"? It's because it's not a set of LAWS that the US wants China to abide to, but to follow the "rules and order" as dictated by the US for its own interest. China is not doing things that solely serve US interests, hence the continuous wordplay to accuse it for not following the international rules based order that it is used to. It can't bully China like it can with other countries that are its "allies", such as Japan and S.Korea.

@@JW-xx4cu The United Nations(UN) was created after WW2 to keep peace on Earth. The USA did not solely create the UN. The UN consists of 193 countries and all of them have 1 vote(even the USA). All UN countries agree on international laws and charters and should work together and find solutions based on the laws available. The only advantage the USA has over China is global influence, and its because they work hard on foreign relations.

Better then being in Prison for life just because you are a minority and have committed a misdemeanour's offense. 32% of the US population is represented by African Americans and Hispanics, compared to 56% of the US incarcerated population being represented by African Americans and Hispanics.
