Thanks a lot Peter, most of these KZreadrs are mincing their words because the products were given to them. They are not being honest about the product you were. Now i can actually go and buy the Wyze camera for my place. I have been leading towards hence the reviews and what it does. Greatly Apreciate it Peter!!!

My son got me this camera for Christmas and I absolutely love them. I got all of them hooked up and connected in less than 20 min. And they do exactly what I need them to do.

I wonder why I have 8 blink cameras out side my home and I happen to think blink cameras don't live up to my standards and I will soon pull them all down and find a more reliable camera system.

It’s a great camera for the price, it’s small size, and the fact that we don’t have to worry about batteries in high activity areas. I have four. As far as cameras go, much of deciding which one to pick depends on our needs and budget, not which one is better or best. I’m waiting for Blink to come out with color night vision and higher resolution.

I have 2 of these and I have no problem with this unit. I also have a life so I have other thing to do then sit around all day and watch what the dogs are doing all day. When I am at work or away from home and want to see what is going on 40 sec. at a time and not 15 I can do that. It will let me know when the time is almost up before it shuts off. My camera will stay on for 40 and not 15. I get a 10 sec. and just have to touch the screen to keep going. No big thing.. Great for when I was in the hospital last year I could see what was going on at home... Nice little camera.

They work perfectly! With 3 of these cameras I can see every corner of the yard, and they were very easy to set up. The problem with live view limiting viewing time may be confined to the app. I have several Echo Shows and they allow for continuous viewing. No idea what the app limits view time.

Thank you I purchase two of these cameras for my elderly mother I wish I had a saw your video before I purchase them and they're exactly what you said you can't continuously watch the footage after so many seconds it cuts off I'm returning them today and getting the wyze cam

Since it can only record 30s at a time, can you set the retrigger time to be 30 sec and record 30 sec so therefore if someone is moving around for 2 minutes, it would create 4 "continuous" video clips?

Yes. Check out your settings in the Blink app. The lowest recording wait time (Retrigger Time) is 10 seconds. Another setting to check and disable (turn off) is “end clip early if motion stopped.” So, for your example, yes, you would end up with 4 videos, each missing 10 seconds.

Bought 2 of these both of which fail to detect motion after only 6 weeks, having read blink community posts it seems to be a known issue which blink seem unable to fix for the past year. Essentially it appears that after a number of hours of inactivity the cameras freeze up and stay that way until a live view wakes them up. Support not up to much tbh, I had to research myself. Might be a bad production batch? but not willing to bet my security on them so will try different brand.

I just got one to check on my dogs and I noticed it can do a quick live stream, that’s all I need to do. BUT can I hook this up in a hotel room when I have my dogs there to check on them? I am not sure IF this camera needs a seperate VPN type router to do so as hotels are on a FREE Wifi system. Not sure now?😮🤔

Please , I’m from Brazil . My camera was turn off for 3 months . I turn on today . My boyfriend is on navy bootcamp no wiffi , once he connects the wiffi he’ll be able to see the old videos ? When I turned the camera on !?

Will get the wis-camera in the future. I don't mind the notification it sends to me only because its covering a small amount of area for my pets

Just got mine today after Prime Deals. There's still a 30 seconds live view limit. And their website confirms this: "Is Live View continuous? With Blink’s Live View feature you can stream 30 seconds of live video at a time. After 30 seconds, a pop-up will appear asking you if you want to “Continue” and you can tap this to keep watching, however it will not stream video continuously."

Honestly all these cheap cameras suck...wyz, blink etc. Get a nest with nest aware 24/7 sub and call it a day. The rest are just toys

Does it work through glass? To look outside

I’m interested in this as an option to replace using my old iPad with the free app Manything, which allows you to see a continuous live stream for free (Manything lets you record to a cloud with a paid subscription fyi). So it sounds like this Blink Mini will let you watch a live stream, but only for a short period of time then it times out. So if you just close out/ click off the camera and then click back, will it go live and let you watch live for another short period? I’ve got some coming in the mail today from Amazon, I’ll post my findings.

I bought three of these cameras and my free one month trial of premium has ended. I can no longer watch recorded clips, but I haven’t come across any issues with trying to watch the video live. I also haven’t tried to watch the live for longer than a minute or so. Overall, I would recommend this!

Just received mine today and I really love it! I wish on the future these cams have ability to hook up to Bluetooth speakers and a warning alarm

Just ordered 1 today from best buy for $5 I'll be putting it in the garage because I constantly forget if I put the door down when I left lol, already love my 8 xt2 cams that I have been using for over a year so im sure this will work for my needs

Someone tired to break into our garage door awhile back. It's locked with a bar inside, so they couldn't get in, but they bent the door. Wish we'd had a camera then.

I got mine for like 20€, it looks like the only thing it can do is record on their servers. I don't know if it's even possible to get the files locally. It should be, since the recordings appears on these videos, but I didn't't find how. I would also not recommend it, the only interest in it is to do motion detection and send you a notification, or to manually monitor and record but for very short periods of time.

Is there a way you can turn off red light that comes on when motion record comes on? I got mine in a window and the red light reflects back to lense off glass grrrrr fine when I turn motion record off but that defeats the point

It may have just updated, I put mine in and at the end of the 30 seconds it ask you to continue the live stream and you can.

It showed the "continue" button in his video when he was showing the example. So that must not be something they added. It probally asked you if you want to continue every 30 secs.

Thought i would get Wyze camera, but setup sucks. Couldn't get past the scan code problem

I swear it only captures what I'm guessing is a ghost in my house. It'll give me a notification, but when I check, there's no one there. It happens all day. But when I walk pass it, it either doesn't see me or it has a delay. It's not worth the money!

I agree with everything except saying that the Wyze camera is better. The Wyze is terrible with its 10 - 15 FPS at what looks like 720p at best. Not to mention the terrible mic. Do not recommend a worse product just because of lack in a small setting. Not everyone cares or will be staring at that live video.

Can anybody tell me how secure the servers it uses are?

I had 2 guns stolen out of my home in Vicksburg Mi about a couple of months ago. A Cobra 38 special with custom holster that holds 2 extra bullets on the out side and a Glock 26 with white lettering. I installed 5 if these blink cameras throughout the house and one strategically out side and for the money the system works fine. I can get alerts anywhere in the USA and I have just from the activities going on with the family. I highly recommend this unit for the money. Im very well pleased and once you got the first camera installed and activated the rest falls into place. The details to me and action are excellent. I love the night vision you can get in a totally black out room and 2 way communications.

You nailed it. I have 5 Blink cams for years and this mini should be able to stream, like the Wyze cam, which I also have. Also check the new 2k Eufy indoor cams coming next month.

Ive had my batteries kill all three of my original gen 1 blink cameras.(the batteries leaked and destroyed the circuit board) The cord is a welcome change for me. Plus id rather beable to look at the feed without a time out. The cord only sucks for not being able to be hiding. Not a very clean look.

Still don't understand, where's the light???Blue and green light where? Do this device need to by another one which is a set with it?

Mine won't connect no matter what I do. I've even sat right next to the wi-fi router and it wouldn't connect. I honestly don't know what the problem is

You can live stream for as long as you want ,as many times as you want.

The Blink is only $25 now and the Wyze is $35. So I got the Blink. I just want something to keep my room mates (mom) out of my room. The motion detection seems good and you can view up to 5 minutes of live feed at a time

Does it need to be plugged in all the time, or do you charge it for a few hours and unplug it and move it around?

Hi Laura, this one needs to be plugged in all the time.

Have you missed the point of it? Maybe they haven’t included the live stream feature for observing remotely, but as a cheap extension to the cloud system, it seems to do the job... I agree there are other live streaming alternatives, but I just want to add it to the cloud if something happens.

But the Wyze cam records to the cloud as well (12-second clips for 14 days for free, or complete motion capture with a $1.49/camera subscription), costs less to buy, you can daisy chain them together from a single power source, and they have a local storage option with a micro sd card if you want it too. Competition is good for consumers, but the Wyze is better in almost every single way and Blink/Amazon has to do better.

Blink is only good for alerts, nothing else. It will be great to have a combination of an IP camera and Blink, the IP Camera to run motion detection and full activity recording while Blink alerts you for the detection as well. This way you get only a 3seconds video alert on your phone but the IP camera will record the person for the entire duration that they walk in and the time that they walk out.

Can you give me the name of a small but good wireless home camera? Hopefully not expensive. I had the wyze can, and it got hacked! I actually have the video with the audio of a man saying “Ain’t no joke is if?” THANK YOU!

The only wi-fi I have is from my phone. So when I leave with my phone, do the cameras work with no other wi-fi source in the house?

That's not "wifi" that is phone data. So you mean you actually have no wifi at all.

I do have the Wyze Cams, and I really love them. The only thing which I don't like about it. That I can't watch on my computer.

You can use Bluestacks. It's a rather inconvenient way to do so, but you can still do it. Hope they just make an app for windows.

I got mine on sale It was a two pack for $29.99 It says I have a 30-day trial for the cloud storage I believe so we'll see how that goes and I really do like it so far so good The notifications are very quick and then I can check the videos and then I can just turn on video recording I am going to not pay for the subscription but what will I be able to do without the subscription I believe it said it just has the cloud storage

its stored on the app via cloud. I have two outdoors cameras and it gets about 50% full with 300 or so videos (each about 5-15 secs long). I delete it when its 50% full so I'm not sure how much exactly it can store. You can download videos to your phone easily before you delete them from the cloud.
