From what I've done, songwriting, it makes obvious sense that this was a b'side. The rest of the album are more 'snap-like depictions, elaborated on in the course of songs' and this to me sounds like a song in the style of TOYPAJ that is looking to find a different definition or a purpose that their 2001 album hadn't been lacking. It sounds to me like it's "between purposes".

Particularly in the middle section I noticed that the drums were like a page taken right from Travis' book and the way you brought in the guitar there too was a very Tom DeLonge in 2004 style riff. Great work on this! Made me wish it was the real deal, but nonetheless stoked that you created it, and not to downplay your efforts in any way. It was a trip back in time!

HOLY SHIT! Been a blink fan since like 2016, when I first gave a listen to Cheshire Cat, and so on. Didn't even know about this unreleased song from their "catalog". You made this a FUCKING REALITY! You sound literally like Mark though. It's really creepy, but amazing too. Like recently this band called No Rest released their self titled debut studio album, and the singer sounds literally like Tom back in the day. What I'm saying is like you have that same nostalgia. This is honestly better than anything they’ve done post Tom. Really great job at nailing the blink vibe. I especially dig the bass part you did at the second chorus. Very reminiscent of Mark and blinks style during the 01-03 era.

Hey man, amazing work! That said, (and I really don’t wanna rain on your parade here) but I’m fairly certain that the whole “silence don’t mean a thing” part that Tom sings was also intended to be a part of this same song. They’re shown right around the same time in the documentary and at one point they even play the punk kid main riff in the same key as “silence”. Maybe they were planning on throwing in a cheeky key change and that was meant to be the bridge or something

I'm sure the reason they didn't put it in the albums is for two very specific reasons: 1) It just didn't fit the Mature and serious theme of the album. Although it could have been a throwaway fun song, they knew they were creating something special with untitled. 2) They were already hated enough by the Punk gatekeepers at the time. And releasing a song titled "Punk" Kid would have just added fuel to the fire. Although they never really gave a crap, and played the kinda music they wanted to play. They probably decided the song isn't worth enough. Nevertheless, this was a good recreation mate.

Definitely! Some of their 2003 studio clips are so amazing to listen to. So many cool riffs and ideas that never got finished. Hopefully they have a behind the scenes documentary type thing for this next album!

A song like this is cool but I'm glad they never finished this and put it on the album, it defo doesn't fit the same vibe as untitled and is more like TOYPAJ and since they were working on this quite early in the record I'd of hated it to get rid of another song since they are all so good.

That ending was amazing!
