i read a comment where they suggested the idea that blink is under a contract for 2 years or so to campaign their new album california and they can't release another album till after. They wanted to make another album so they basically just threw 11 songs under the "california umbrella" and labeled it a delux album to get past that loop hole.

They made this many new songs bc they wrote 8 songs to be the base of the next album but they didn't want to sit on 8 songs for a year until they go back to record (They're gonna start recording for the new album in late 2017). The other 4 songs were originally the only songs prepared for the deluxe edition

I like Blink, but im not such a big fan. Yet, for me...this is the most "consumable" record. I mean, i can easily listen the whole record, without getting bored or skipping one song i dont like. Like i do in other blink records. Ironic. Maybe cause i enjoy more Alkaline Trio. Or maybe Mark just "dominate" the formula to make a more "commercial" album.

Hey Matt, i just wanted to let you know that..when i fisrt heard your riffs and vocals in Trio i loved it, but i wasnt so sure if you were going to be able to ''fill'' that big space that tom left, and when california came out, i really loved your vocals so much that i completely forgot tom for once, but other people seemed to be very attached to that kinda bad tone tom had, but with this song, you proved that you can convince any blink-182 fan that you are a great guitarist and singer, bravo dude.

this is the music of Blink that I like the most... saved me from commiting suicide, I love this band since i was 10 years old; i stared listening when my parentes slplit up, since that time I just cant stop listening. Years have passed, ive listen to Neighborhoods, but this song... I got depressed from work, studies, relationships and my hole life... not that its a hard life, i am greatful for everything that my parents gave me and their help, but I got empty at some point, but then.. they released this song and I just cant stop listening; I almost killed myself another day... but Ive decided to listen to this song one last time; when I heard "i dont need anyone" i completed the sentence with "but me" and then I realised that all we have in life is ourselves; okay; there are lots of ppl who care about us... but when you're fucked up with youself... its hard to call for help, but this song made me stronger, and made me happier to see that I dont need anyone but me; I love myself and thats the key for happiness. I know that my comment will pass unseen... but I just want to thank Blink 182 for saving my life. love u guys... hope u come to Brazil cuz thats my dream, i dont have the money to see u outside my country but in brazil I can arrange things... thanks.. sorry bout the english... im just... happy

I've loved blink and Alkaline for so many years now and I never thought Matt would work as a replacement for Tom, but honestly, I love their new tracks so much. Misery is amazing when it comes to the lyrics, the melody and the vocals, and I'm so excited for the band's future.

Blink-182 is putting out a deluxe album that has 11 new songs on it. Most bands put 2 or 3 and re-package the same thing. Tons of respect for that. I've been a Blink-182 fan since the early 2000s, but I consider "Blink-182 w/ Skiba" to be a different band. That being said, this and Bored To Death are fantastic. I read a comment earlier that said Skiba matures the 182 sound, and I couldn't agree more. The bridge of this song gives me chills. Keep killing it dudes.
