Wow, that short scale sounds so good. Was on the fence about getting one but not anymore. What strings did you use on this recording? Did you use anything else besides the zoom like EQ or Compression. Also did you upgrade our pickups? If so what brand/model? Would love you know your settings if you remember. Thanks.

Thank you man! However this bass is actually the long scale version. Can't comment on the short scale one but I dig this bass :) I used Fender 7250 strings and I added a little of REAPER's stock EQ to the track. I can't remember my exact settings for this one but I normally boost both 200Hz and 1200Hz by 2 or 3dB and cut 8000Hz by 3dB. The pickups are stock. Either would probably be a safe bet to be honest, the jazz bass is probably more comfortable to play though

I'm not particularly religious to a brand but my basses either have Fender 7250 or Ernie Ball Hybrid Slinkys. I'd use pretty much any roundwound strings though haha

I couldn't chose one so here's the shortest list I could come up with: Green Day - Dookie Descendents - Milo Goes to College Western Addiction - Cognicide Black Flag - First Four Years Sex Pistols - Never Mind the Bollocks Green Day - American Idiot (some people wouldn't call it a punk album but fuck it haha) Rise Against - Revolutions Per Minute Bad Religion - Suffer Ramones - Ramones This list could go on for a while but I'll stop there to be polite to you haha! What are your favourite punk albums dude? :)

Ciaran Ward damn dude nice list. And I think people have problems with American Idiot because a lot of people that like it aren't into Green Day's other super awesome stuff or not even into a lot of punk. From my experience that is. But yeah you're obviously badass stuff so nothing wrong with liking American Idiot. Operation Ivy energy is my favorite all time dude. After that I'd say Misfits - Famous Monsters; Bad Religion - No Control; Descendents - Cool To Be You ; and I wouldn't call it exactly a punk album because it's like post-hardcore/ jazz-punk/progressive punk and stuff like that but Nomeansno - Wrong is one of the best albums I've ever heard. Hell of a lot of incredible blow your balls off bass and drums on that record
