Blind Summit teaches puppetry at Stanford's Bing Concert Hall

Speaking to a group of Stanford community members at the Bing Concert Hall Studio, the Blind Summit Theatre group demonstrated their unique take on ancient Japanese Bunraku puppetry. At one point, three audience members tried their hand at puppeteering-each controlling a separate part of a single puppets body.

    Any kind of fabric, needle and thread, and cotton filling. They don’t appear to have any internal structure. 4 years too late?

    I wonder if they’d still say the same thing about puppet builders/puppet performers. There’s a reason many puppet builders are also performers. To say they aren’t actors is, well, really insulting.
