Having read the manga I can tell you that the world doesn't use Japanese in any way but any written language can be used for enchanting. Japanese just has some advantages in this worlds enchanting system. So it more like his own original language. Remember grandpa Merlin couldn't read shins enchantments.

@@Jfransome Just to add onto what you said, that's actually what make's Shin's enchantments so much more OP. That world's lettering system takes up more space. Going by Japanese lettering, he can fit more enchantments on one item. this also means that you can theoretically take any language and use it for enchantments too in that world.

In cold temperatures, molecules slow down and stop completely at “Absolute Zero” temperatures, in high temperatures the molecules instead move extremely fast. Similarly to how you can drag your feet on shaggy carpet and generate static, air molecules rub against other molecules in the air and cause the same phenomenon, doesn’t need to be raining or cloudy for thunder to form, “Dry Lightning” occurs in Savanas or grassy plains and it’s what will occasionally cause wildfires if there is no human presence nearby (cigarets or litter that can cause fires like glass and tinder/paper)

I mean, I wouldn't exactly call it "peak," but it's definitely good. Much better than most other isekai at the very least. Shin's powers are well explored and explained, the magic system's cool, the fights are fun and animated pretty well, and it actually has a pretty good romantic subplot. Overall, a pretty fun time. I give it a 7/10. 8.5/10 by isekai standards.

Oh, one of my favorites. I wouldn't say it's a special kind of Isekai, but it knows how to play with the tropes to make itself entertaining.

There are cool scene like him releasing his mana or whatever and everyone getting chills from ot and there is the training arc where romance progress l. I will say this: This world works off a Soft magic system: Imagination is key to magic. If you can visualize hydrogen burning then you can incorperate that into a fire ball. if you can do so without a chant you can use chantless magic. If you can imagine folding space and connecting two points you can make a gate. Unlike hard magic system chantless casting and high level magic are only restricted by beliefs, knowledge of the natural/ supernatural world and control of magic power

Actually, he didnt get any isekai bullshit powers other than his memories from past life and being magically gifted (which isn't really that rare cause even warriors use magic). His power is a result of being raised by really good teachers and his knowledge from his previous life being complementary to this world's magic system. For example, he is better at enchanting because japanese language can express a whole word with a single character, while languages that don't use hieroglyphics form words by combining different letters in a certain order, which takes up way more space.

This would've been my 2nd choice on that poll. Watching Mother's Rosario was just more important.

I'll say basically the same thing I said in the comments of the Brothers Yeo reaction - this isn't deep at all, but it's an enjoyable fun comedy isekai, with good production values. (the downside is that it's just a single season, I wanted more at the end). Regarding whether to continue with the season, there are two criteria. First viewer interest, and secondly, if you enjoyed it yourself. Regarding 'original tongue' - without spoilers, think of the implications of them recognising Japanese as being historically linked to the origin of magic. (Took out the spoiler because I think I might have been getting confused with another isekai with a similar plot, the main character in that Isekai is called Cain).

Its a good isekai, underrated

It's one of the very good isekais I read years ago, which introduced me to the genre. Manga's still ongoing, and has a better story portrayal compared to the anime.

I'll probably watch through this if you react though I haven't heard your opinions on it but Re:Zero has season 3 airing October so watching season 1 2 and the movie if you want as a patron thing could be another series to run. Its pretty long at 50 episodes, 38 if you watch the directors cut season 1 which is 13 episodes so less but 50 minute episodes on average so understandable if it's a skip for now though, would be a long commitment.
