Same here. This show actually introduced me to a lot of Marvel characters I've never heard of before, such as Daredevil, Dr. Strange and Blade. But then again, I wasn't really the biggest expert for comic superheroes, except Spider-Man and Batman.

Back in the 90s, Marvel used pretty much all its animated shows to sneak in heroes that weren't considered popular enough to get their own shows.

What Chameleon mentioned about Peter's parents... I'd make a sticky note on that to keep and hold on to RIGHT now...

Shark recognizing Rocket Racer blew my mind. He's obscure and this is his ONLY ADAPTATION. Ngl I always wished Rocket Racer had more love or appeared in another show. HE HAS A HOVERBOARD! That he reverse engineered out of villain tech, and now they're after him. Smart kid who has to take care of his mom. He gives me Static Shock and big Peter Parker vibes.

It’s funny you should say that because I kind of think that they should bring Rocket Racer back as a villain turned supporting superhero for Miles Morales, kind of like Rubberband Man. They’d work off of each other like Static and Gear.

I still find it amazing that it took halfway through the series for Spider-Man to find out about the Kingpin, considering he’s basically the main villain of the show.

Just goes to show how well Fisk has worked to hide his hand in things up until now, always acting through surrogates like Smythe and the 'Insidious' Six.

Fun Fact to remember: The Red "Vision" that Daredevil has is actually a 3D Projection in His head that he creates and it's freaking amazing. Stick however, was made for this Animated universe they were trying to make

Big Wheel is on most dumbest characters lists, but this show somehow made him work and give him a unique personality. A robber inventor who loves timing.

Funny enough, Big Wheel's vehicle looks much like the 'War Wheels' of Vandal Savage from the Justice League series.

It's interesting how different eras of Spiderman have a different main villain. Green Goblin era, Venom era, i feel we're currently in a Doc Ock era. This show is so Kingpin focused it's half his show!

They all reflect Spiderman/Peter in some shape or form The Goblin and Spidey got their powers they contemplated using it for selfish reasons. Venom copied Spiderman's abilities so he's practically fighting himself Dick Ock and Peter were both social outcasts

They say that Daredevil respected Spider-Man's right to his secret identity, but I always thought that he already knew, like because the voices of Peter Parker and Spider-Man are the same, or their heart beats are the same, or something like that. I think that Daredevil should already know. But it's whatever at this point.

​@@fynnthefox9078I know right. So I think that it would make sense that he knows. Like after the whole thing they should have made a scene where Daredevil goes off and when he is alone he has dialog to himself saying that he knows that Peter Parker is Spider-Man. That would have made sense.

I absolutely loved Kingpin in this series because he was the boss boss, he was the big boss. Kingpin was virtually Marvel's Amanda Waller, in a way. He had money and resources to do whatever he wanted. He has dirt on everyone important and necessary or a threat to his operations like the other crime bosses like Hammerhead and Silvermane and Cameleon and others. He could hack and access computer systems and other electronic things. He made stronger and more powerful characters work for him like Dr. Octopus, Vulture, Scorpion, Rhino, Cameleon, Mysterio, and others. What I liked about Kingpin in this series was that he was so calm, respectful, and soft-spoken. He spoke in a way and had this aura about him that says, "I am being nice and respectful to you, but if you cross me, I will f##k you up." That was so intimidating how soft spoken and calm that he was in this show, unlike the live action Kingpin, and no disrespect to the actor, but he has a stutter and he pauses a little, and he just doesn't sound intimidating, instead he sounds like he always has something up his sleeve or that there is always something behind whatever he is saying, and that is alright, but he never gave the same energy as Spider-Man The Animated Series Kingpin. He could also fight Spider-Man and Daredevil and others. Kingpin was just formidable in this series.

(At 41:39) You want to know the sad part? This guy ”Daredevil” ALMOST had his own animated series way back then, but for some "unknown" reason the idea… got canceled.

The Daredevil twofer are some of the most iconic episodes of the show, love how they establish Matt and Fisk's parallel backgrounds. I assume they didn't just destroy the disk because it's data is related to their smuggling business so they didn't want to lose it, just keep it out of Federal hands. They couldn't do any more than this with Daredevil since this is Spidey's show. They had lots of great guest appearances like the X-Men, Punisher and Blade, but few would return after their initial appearance- too many heroes around reduces the difficulty of the conflicts. Even Rocket Racer is never seen after this.

and to think at the same time Matt lost his sight, 4 baby turtles fell into the sewer with a rat and was exposed to the same chemicals....

Framed was my first introduction to the character of Daredevil and is now in my top 5 favorite marvel heroes of all time.

XMen97 is going strong i hope this means a revival of Spiderman98..... This show is good.....certain scenes reused and cheap animation but the dialogue and character voices are cool and the actions at times too!

I always thought that Kingpin was a Spider-Man villain because I first saw him in this series. I didn't know that he was a Daredevil villain until I got into the comics, but people told me that Kingpin was originally a Spider-Man villain, but then transitioned to a Daredevil villain, although Kingpin waxes and wanes through heroes, even like in Devil's Reign when Major Wilson Fisk went to war on all of the super heroes.

For anyone who doesn't know: Daredevil directly inspired TMNT. They all got their powers from radioactive chemicals, Daredevil fights a clan of ninjas called 'The Hand' while the turtles fight a clan of ninjas called 'The Foot', Daredevil's sensei is called 'Stick', while the turtles' is called 'Splinter'. It's a cool bit of comic trivial! 😄

@@teruienages962 No, it's not canon for two reasons: 1) The TMNT aren't part of Marvel comics. 2) The "ooze" that mutated the TMNT was canonically chemical waste accidentally lost by a bunch of space aliens, not radioactive waste being illegally transported by gangsters.

Doctor Strange probably has better things to do regarding mystical threats unless the kingpin has something equivalent to the reality stone. And as for Namor… Do you really expect that "prejudice" Atlantean King, with wings on his ankles, to come out of this element and help people who keep getting in conflicts with others and continue to pollute oceans?
