I honestly LOVE them and their relationship. How it all started really out of nowhere, but after they met, I do believe because he was nice she sort of pushed at first (he was alone. She was alone) and even if at first he did get annoyed, and hurt her feelings, still he came to her when she needed someone. They really balance one another. They help each other find something that was lost. They help each other step into the world with hope. They are not as alone as they believed they were. He was so honest with her. And she was honest with him. He treated like she was equal (which many don't do because she's blind)

I bet he felt abnormal too because of his past. She is non judgemental and trusting and he is reserved and takes time to trust. I think her purity from a loving heart touched his once hardened heart.

Think about putting chapstick on in public. You don’t always have a mirror, but you know where your lips are by feel and general distance awareness. Usually we are aided by sight, but without it, the other senses make up for the missing one as best they can. Blind people are far more capable than most people think
