Agreed, I think it’s more of a “fresh” sound for I see stars but nothing too impressive. Also, it might just be me but I hated the yelling parts instead of the usual “proper” screaming vocals.

This is an INCREDIBLE comeback song. There's a reason people loved them before and I'm glad I could hear that in this song. I'm sure the rest will have more experimenting and branching out and such.

@@Ottoni174 my top 3 are probably 1. Memphis May Fire - The Hollow 2. Blessthefall - Hollow Bodies 3. Erra - Erra (although they almost lean on being progressive or experimental metalcore. Still a bonkers album.)

This is straight up what I call comfort food metalcore. Nothing different or unexpected but just what you expect done well.

I loved the way how they came back. Metalcore bands when they go back on the music scene, almost goes back with pop-metal sound in their songs. Blessthefall made it different and brought us a new killing 2023 song. Fcking awesome

I was so worried when they basically wiped their socials thinking they were breaking up but they came back hard with this banger. Hollow Bodies was such a good album it's nice to know that 10 years later they haven't given up.

most modern metalcore has just been absolutely boring me, but this was just head and shoulders one of the best metalcore tracks released lately. I love that old 2010s style metalcore, especially BTF's older records, and this did not disappoint at all. i honestly hope more bands bring back this style of sound, as well as that 00s emo/post hardcore kind of sound as well. djent has it's place, but i think it's run its course in metalcore to the point where its just boring now imo

Will also agree hoping that metalcore style stuff comes back. was a lot more guitar work with arpeggios and stuff instead of just chugging the same note in different timings.

This was a bop glad to see these guys and others making a return this year !

For some reason this got me so hype as Blood And Water (MMF) do with me with their 10's metalcore sound, what an amazing comeback to this guys, the Rise-core stills kicking so hard 🔥🔥

Sounds like it could come straight off of Hollow Bodies which is a top 15-20 album of all time for me. Absolutely love it

I think one of the coolest things they’ve ve done in years or at least never seen/heard before from them is Beau providing backup screams during a breakdown see @3:20 and slightly after that until the chorus kicks back in

Been a fan since I picked up their album "Witness" from the library when I was 13. Dude... this song rocks.

Not inventing the wheel with this single, knew I was listening to Blessthefall (which could be good or bad). Thought there was small change in sound but nothing very in your face, makes me excited for some new material from them. Exciting!

Bands always have two choices evolve and change the sound or perfect their sound. Blessthefall is the latter and I love them for it.

Blessthefall is known for metalcore and dare I say very well at doing metalcore. They know what works and what makes a good metalcore song. If the album does end up being mostly if not all metalcore with high intensity or similar then I am perfectly fine with it.

This reminds me a lot of Deceiver by The Word Alive. This is actually a really solid comeback!

Completely agree with you. It's great song considering everyone doing the octanecore thing now, but it's also a very safe and predictable song. I'm very interested in seeing where they go with the album.

The problem with bands like this is that the production is "too clean" sounding and bland. There was nothing outstanding about it and it was very safe. They won't grow by doing this.

Bro honestly this is exactly what I prefer, modern metal core is hella boring for me. I prefer their Hollow Bodies sound. If I’m listening to metal core it’s cuz I want some metal core not some soft radio rock. It’s the reason August Burns Red is so loved, sure you can argue every album is Thrill Seeker pt 1,2,3 etc 😂 but people love them cuz they get what they’re expecting. 2007-2013 metal core sound is where it’s at
