As a protestant we are aloud to pray over The oil or water our selves if not pastors

The blessings of Jesus over Peter and then Peter to all the popes, bishops, cardinals and priest that came after meant something it goes back all the way to Jesus himself something others could never claim as there's.

I use Holy water I ask God myself to bless my water sometimes

That's good, but the Roman rite of Exorcism works best. It can only be done by an ordained priest or bishop.

Jesus has given us the authority to bless so I don't understand why we should to a pastor to get his blessings?

When the Protestant split from the Catholic Church they lost the ability to bless items because it all comes down from the laying on his hands once they decided to leave the Catholic Church to start their own faith they lost that ability it all starts with St Peter when Jesus Christ called him the rock of the church and said thou art Peter upon this Rock I shall build my church I give on to you the keys of the Kingdom of heaven whatever you find on Earth is bound in heaven whatever you lose on Earth is loosed in heaven once the Protestant split they lost that ability to bless

If you look up Roman Rite of excorsism over salt, water and oil. You will find it there.

i have a question. Lets say you are not able to get to a parish or have a priest come to you, but you desperately need holy water, oil, or salt. Can you look up the Roman Rite blessing and even though you are not a priest, but because of your situation, would God still send the Holy Spirit unto them?

You forgot about candles and incense. The Roman Rite has blessing for them too.

First the salt is blessed, then the salt is used to bless the water and then the water is used to bless the oil.

Who is authorized to bless the oil? What kind of oil could we use?

A priest or bishop is authorised to bless the oil, but he must be wearring his purple stol and it must be the Roman rite. Its easier to print out the prayer to give to the priest so that he knows what you want. Its a long prayer to memorise thats why its easier for them if they have something to read off of. the type of oil to be used is olive oil, just regular olive oil. The oil the Jews used was olive oil as olive were perdominate in Jerusalem and surrounding country sides. The Holy oils at Church that are blessed by the bishop at the Chrism mass once a year are olive oil and a sweet smelli g resin is added to the Holy Chrism oil to give it that sweet aroma. Its is given this to remind us of the sweetness of the Lord.

72 disciples who by the Catholic standard would have been made priests because they were given Christs power.

However the priest hood began on Bethany with the twelve, so I would say that the 72 were just disciples at this point, given the power of the Holy Spirit.
