Yes, this format is far better than when they add each one individually because I've seen many times the person will add a node then say "but we don't want to do it that way" and delete it or not fully say the name of the actual node and only one of the dropdown options (such as saying "add node" when they are using a math node) It's mostly a matter of personal preference, though.

Oh no... now all of these get recommended to me after watching the Default Cube vid xD

Could you make a turorial, showing how to create a flowing stream of viscous lava?

You know, I actually tried that before making my Star Wars Mustafar video. I encountered several problems when attempting the lava with a fluid simulation. Firstly, the scale of the scene would have required a huge, high resolution fluid domain which would have taken forever bake and re-bake. The other main problem that I encountered was in the texturing of the lava. Applying a water material to a fluid sim is easy. Likewise applying a honey or engine oil material to a more viscous fluid is similarly easy. However, the material of lava needs the crusty texture of the hardened lava floating on the surface and the glowing lava itself towards the edge of the flow or on the faster moving "lavafall" parts. The problem with the fluid mesh is that you can't UV unwrap it, so applying texture is a problem.
