more Mantaflow stuff. Perhaps like a large scale smoke or explosion like what could be done with Fume.

And my challenge is, make the final result look as good as a good looking Fume Sim. And let's see if we're capable of that level of realism with this toolset.

I am so pleased with your tutorials Jonathan. Could you please make a tutorial about a rising ship coming up from water?
Cool man thank you
This is great! Really appreciate your work, especially since no one else is really doing blender mabtaflow brach tutorials yet. Would love to see a robust mantaflow explosion tutorial. I’ve seen some good test shots from different people, but not much as far as tutorials go.

I got this request a few times so I will maybe do a tutorial on that next week. ;D

Jonathan Kron That would be fantastic! Thanks for making these videos, they’re super helpful.
Great!
loved
Aw, I kind of liked the "that's why I have this accent" sign-on. BTW, you have an excellent voice and accent in English; this American can understand you just fine.

Yeah, I stopped saying that because everyone in the comments told me everything was just fine ;D but you're the first one to notice so thank you :D

@@JonathanKron I noticed that too! I asked myself: Didn't he always say something about his accent before? 🤔 Obwohl... so viele Videos hab ich noch gar nicht von dir gesehen, aber deine Stimme kam mir sofort bekannt vor 😅
:O We love you ! :D

Actually, I'd like to see how you incorporate other forces such as wind in these mantaflow sims

It basically works the same way. But I might do more Mantaflow tutorial once it's completely released.
how do I bake it? cant seem to find the button maybe? not sure what's happening

In “cache” the type is probably on “replay”right now. Change it to “all”
Could you post the blend file somewhere? I'm not able to duplicate what you have here, nor have I figured out how to get that final render.
@JonathanKron

This should be it: www.mediafire.com/file/qztp38hhfqj2meh/ShockwaveTest1.blend/file You will have to bake it again. The final thumbnail had some color correction
@ScottVanKirk

@@JonathanKron thanks Jonathan, but that wasn't the final. I guess what I really would like to see is how you color corrected this to get the appearance of a glowing cloud.

cheesus cheese goodness me people till now can't figure this, on cache change the reply to all or modular (I recommend to use all at the final render)
bake option is not there
thank you oni chan
Why weren't you able to use cycles?

@@JonathanKron ahh that makes sense! You should check out www.sheepit-renderfarm.com/ ! It's free, and usually renders are very fast because there's usually a couple hundred CPU and GPUs waiting to render projects. Worth a try!

Hey Jonathan, I used this tutorial to make my KZread intro video. You can check it out here if you want: kzread.info/dash/bejne/c6mf1sOjoabMlLw.html . I just rotated everything to stand vertical to look like a sonic boom shock wave. I had trouble rendering the smoke, but finally got it to work after a few hours and lots of searches. I'm just learning Blender. Thanks so much for your tutorials!
#1 - text or object coming from particles / sand ( reverse Tanos dissolve effect) #2 from schokwave to object, or yeah particle to object with fast stops like an explosion #3 Flstudio piano roll into blender scene #4 object to object transformation / fluid o object thru a tube #5 more geometry nodes effec #7 more text animation / transiion effects #8 this: kzread.info/dash/bejne/not_t5ezk9jAotY.html into blender, and this 10# rotatin each line differen direction, like a turbine kzread.info/dash/bejne/fJN4rKRwYMusqbg.html - how ? thanks Mate good luck my friend

Jup, warum nicht ;D
That is not a shockwave
It takes years to bake a low resolution shockwave. Simulating a great looking shockwave is almost impossible. I prefer real footages.
@JonathanKron

It's getting a lot faster with Mantaflow! But still, real-life elements are great.

You could look into a new tool called EmberGen that simulates this stuff in real-time. It can export to VDB or image sequences.
@JonathanKron

EmberGen is actually really great but sadly Blender cannot import VDB files yet.
