    Im pretty sure he knows this but for the people in the comments, there are a lot of shortcuts that you can use for view and a lot of other stuff he did in this video For example the view If you press 1 in your numbpad you get the frontview Press 3 and you get a sideview Press 7 and you get a top view Press 9 and you get the inverse of whatever view you have So 1 + 9 would be backview 3 + 9 would be the other side view And 7 + 9 would be bottom view

  • @cgboost

    @cgboost

    8 ай бұрын

    You may want yo apply modifiers and combine meshes if you're transferring the model from program to program, or to a game engine, but in this case there's no particular reason to and having separate meshes with unique modifiers allows us to jump back in and amend things easily.

    Hi, I'm surprised every time I watch your course or Blender course. It seems like it's easy to produce a great-result. (Not at all in my hands). Thank you for the good video. I have a question. I'm a blender beginner and a longtime Maya user. Based on Maya standards, I think there are a lot of polygons in the result, is this because the blender can operate more polygons? Or is it to produce results faster? Usually, in Maya, if I'm going to make a similar result, I don't go with this much wire right before the wire that the Renderer makes. Of course, I understand that it's going to be similar to Maya in Modifier and Edit mode, but as a result, I think I see a lot of wires Did I misunderstand?

  • @MotherlessImisswhatitoncewas

    @MotherlessImisswhatitoncewas

    its because he has a good computer and its either cpu based (eevee) or gpu based (cycles) and its not cpu intensive because of how its rendered. For his example, he is showing you how to produce fast results rather than a performant model that has say 3k tris. He is around 20k tris.

    ok great job but what was ther purpose of importing the world object if the final rendered image doesn't show it?

  • @cgboost

    @cgboost

    3 ай бұрын

    The HDRI provides lighting for the scene as well as it shows in the reflections of the object (if you'd make some material perfectly reflective like a mirror it would show - a bit like in chromed parts of a car.) That's why it makes sense even if it is not used to show the object's surroundings. This is not the only way to provide lighting for an object but it is a simple and convenient one.
