In Blender, vertices are the most foundational component. Edges are just connections between vertices, and faces are just connections between edges.
As mentioned before, objects are just containers for the mesh and are not the same as the mesh itself. In Object Mode, transforms ignore the mesh data and are instead based on the object origin. In this lesson, we explore the importance of the object origin and how to manipulate in relation to the mesh in order to make the object transform in a more natural way.
We also talk about how to split and join objects. The hotkeys for that are:
P: Separate from Edit Mode
Ctrl + J: Join objects in Object Mode

Seriously? 😂 I put the notes in comment
Thank you for not being boring! I'm actually digging this and start to understand something. Great videos, my likes are yours.
I definitely learned some helpful stuff in this video. Did some super low-poly modeling for a game project (which didn't get finished but I did finish my modeling) and learned quite a bit going through that process, but there were some nuggets of wisdom in this video that I wish I'd known at that point in time. Looking forward to watching the rest of the videos in this series. I also really appreciated the explanation of which objects should be separate. That was something I felt very insecure about when I was doing the modeling for that project.

So join its like "group"? I want to group meshes but i guess i can only parent stuff. Or i can just group somehow?

Sort of... there's no direct correlation with grouping in other apps. What you want is probably a combo of parenting and collections. You can skip ahead to episode 11 for that: kzread.info/dash/bejne/hoV_t9mTocjgd9Y.htmlsi=FjxXuDl-z5jGv_4Z

@@jonlampeli just want like max, to groupo to avoid selecting something by mistake. I use colecctions but the objects are still independent. I will check the other video thanks
Great videos.. Please we want a detailed tutorial on how to render animation without noise 😢

I have some quick suggestions: 1. Render tab > Sampling > Render > Increase 'Max Samples' number 2. Render tab > Sampling > Render > Enable denoise 2. Render tab > Light Paths > Max Bounces > Reduce 'total' number
Thank you!
