Ever wanted to build a medieval castle style door?
This is part 2 of an exciting FREE KZread full course on building a medieval castle style door in Blender 2.8. In this tutorial, we will be working on the hinges and metal work that will bring some realism to our model.

Another great lesson from 3dTudor. I highly recommend his Castle Kitbash course. Not only did I end up with some great assets at the end, but it taught me so many Blender modeling skills and reinforced the skills so that I could work much faster in Blender by the end.

Thanks so much for saying that David. Sometimes it's hard to judge how to create tutorials for people. whether it is too fast or slow or not enough depth. I do agree though the castle course hit the nail on the head. :D

If you want to include something it would be 3DTudor on KZread. I do not mind to be honest I just hope more people find the tutorial as I believe its quite helpful :) Thanks for your opinion it drives me on to create more.
First off I want to say I love your work and I am learning so much from you! Please help I have been following this tutorial and trying to do this but when I come to the knife project part in the beginning of this video I keep getting an error saying “No other selected objects have wire or boundary edges to use for protection “ and idk what that means or how to fix it!

Hi Cammie this is normally caused by you not being straight in front of the object, both objects not being selected or an object is not a real mesh as in it could be ngons or a nurbs for example. Hope this helps if it doesn't send me the blend file to my email and ill take a look at it although it will be tomorrow now :)

ok so it worked for me if i created a cube instead of a plane then i selected cube went into edit mode and shift clicked the doorway from the side bar and the went to knife project in front view.
