I was gonna go for Monesy Hooxi combo before Monesy wasn't playing. I went pretty out there with my draft. Went all in on Spirit, Donk, Zontix, Apex, Karrigan and Aleksi. It could go horribly wrong but I'm hoping for an MVP performance from Donk.

Still in the top100 babyyyy, let's see if I can finish my first fantasy season with a bang! Thank you for all your great analyses this season Lucy, I'll definitely be here for the next one too! ❤ For this event, I came up with 2 drafts, a high floor no IGL one, and a 'Zywoo go kill' one. I'm curious what's your opinion on them and which one you'd go for. A) Rain, ropz, mezii, flamez, iM / bro B) Zywoo, apex, rain, karrigan, bro I'm tempted to go for the Woo draft, because I'm sure he's utterly PISSED after their last loss and will drop an absolute monster of a performance here. Plus don't forget about BLASTality. But on the off chance he doesn't go nuclear, I'm stuffed. So draft A is the sane and responsible way to go. I feel that Spirit is now going back to the top 5-10 ranking where they actually belong. At this point, most top teams have now figured out the russian pocket rambo. They shut him down, exploit that he's a tilter, and the rest of the team just isn't good enough to hang with faze or vitality's core imho, so I'm backing the European teams. About the rest: G2 without monesy is nothing, VP and Navi are toast, Astralis is YUCK, and even though I like SAW, they're simply out of their depth here.

thank you! and well done on the top 100! i'm hoping to end in that bracket too :) i think your analysis is spot on. i'd only go the zywoo draft if you really believe in the vitality win, otherwise i prefer your first draft, it's similar to my draft though i did get karrigan to allow zontix. i think way too many people get double (and sometimes triple!) IGL, when a team of solid "non-star" players will do much better!

I may be delusional, but I'm going double astralis this time. Don't know why, but I just have a feeling. Draft: stavn, br0, chopper, sh1ro, hooxi Stavn has been insane since device started igling, picked br0 out of necessity, I wanted to go with staehr but he was too expensive for my draft. Spirit are still very strong and sh1ro is one of their most consistent players and chopper is not too bad either, definitely worth the price. Lastly I went with hooxi because there is new information that m0nesy will make it to the event, which makes hooxi a viable pick, considering his price range.

I'm going big on Group B this time because if Vitality and Spirit both win their opening matches, they'll for sure be on opposite sides of the bracket. I have a lot of faith in that happening. I'm going with flamez, apex, frozen, magixx and chopper.

I wanted to go for a G2 build, but visa said nope lmao so now I'm going for flamez chopper zontix karrigan frozen flamez and frozen are just too cheap, chopper might get some impact if he's feeling it,zontix has potential karrigan is karrigan.. glgl :D

Got the same team as Lucy, except for two players: sh1ro, karrigan, ropz, apex, mezii. Thinking ropz+mezii is better than rain+flamez, but might be wrong :)

Got top 2% finish thanks to doubling down on Mongolz, which makes me a bit sad because I thought it would be my first top 1 % finish 😢

Honest Thoughts: I would pick Astralis to win their group because 1. Navi has been dire since copenhagen 2. Astralis have slammed Faze both times they've played in group stages and the Faze map pool has been HORRID post-Katowice. Due to Astralis choking in Arenas, the erratic form of Faze and Navi playing bad, i would simply go double Spirit and double Vitality with an Astralis player (also Karrigan has never won a blast title, so keep that in mind. Current Draft: Mezzi (good Dallas playoffs and home court), Apex (decent form), Chopper (decent fragging and Spirit players are really expensive), Zont1x (good value) and Jabbi (incredible form and good group to win out).

i like this approach a lot actually. it also works well with the format, with the loser of your vita/spirit split getting an easy run in the playoffs to make up for the loss. i'm just not there with astralis yet, but i do really like a dip into them. i watched their games at yalla and you could really see the cracks, their retakes were atrocious and devve was missing uncharacteristic shots. feels like blast is too soon after yalla for me to be confident in them beating faze in the group, i'd say it's maybe a 60/40 faze game in my eyes very nice draft tho! i don't think it's too far removed from mine just without the faze emphasis :)

I almost want to go double vitality and spirit but that can't be right. With Astralis' and navi's struggling recent form, how can you not take double faze even if they aren't looking the best. So hard to choose. I'm thinking apex, frozen, rain, zont1x and chopper.

br0 very popular it seems, has good roles and you'd think a decent chance to get good performances in his group. have my worries about astralis going deep, but it feels like they can beat and lose to everyone rn (same as faze i guess!)

@@lucycasts yeah it's a bit of a gamble, but they should make it into playoffs at least, also astralis is a gamble considering their semi-final curse lol I'll go with the first one tho, maybe do a switch to g2 somewhere if monesy plays?

It's interesting to think about what will happen if you and Pitu end up with the same score. Who will HLTV give preference to? 🤔

this is very nice because chopper can get good points in an easy game vs g2. i personally am unsure spinx is worth that price difference to flamez, but on the same note not many people will be picking spinx, so it can be a good way for your draft to step ahead of others!

would keep eco friendly on karrigan and put chopper on support; otherwise you can put leader on one of them if you think either team will win the event!

Yalla was incredibly mediocre for me, not good but not terrible either this event is an interesting one, with a m0nesy-less g2 spirit have an incredible opportunity to farm but have shown weakness against the better teams ultimately ive decided on 2x spirit 2x faze team with sh1ro,frozen,chopper,apex,karrigan 3 IGL's isnt a great look but i really expect faze to walk over their group and win both games 2-0, also frozen 12k cheaper than broky?? i know broky is more consistent but my goodness frozen is very underpriced imo

yeah frozen is CRAZY cheap! i went with ropz in my version of this draft because it allowed me to upgrade my vita players (and i went double them too). i'm guessing that's not possible with the money here? 3 IGLs spooks me but chopper + apex both fraggers when they want to be!
