I just found an Old Forester made from fall 68 to fall 73 still had the unbroken tax strip over the cap.

I enjoyed my 750ml bottle, and now it's gone.

I have found them inconsistent, being the original SIB they are a lottery, with some being ok and others being good. I am surprised you did not mention the mintyness, this is Buffalo Trace's higher mash bill. I also get a sweet oak (Honey?) but the slightly higher rye leads to a black tea/herbal notes.

The world doesn't need more blantons reviews. Let alone whiskey tubers.
