another way to fix that sharp edge left when you cut a zip tie is to leave it about 1/8th" sticking out then hit it a few times with a lighter. it'll weld up the end to the lock mechanism of the zip tie. will not pull through, zip tie will have to break before it slips.

Daily backpack gear, cycled 10 years now without a car. ParkTools mini chain tool, patch kit, good mini pump, zip ties, tape, random spare nuts and bolts. The hex tools I need, a 10, 13, 15. knife, Glock G20 10mm (Only in Washington, CPL holder), matches or a lighter. A small custom first aid kit, that has everything from band aids to ER suture kits(don't carry tools you don't know how to use or attempt to give field stiches if you don't have training for it.) Extra tube myabe good for long rides. Water, camera, second bullet proof old Nokia cell phone, and a harmonica.
Well,The best thing GMBN got is BLAKE 🔥🔥🔥

Having Blake on GMBN makes things more lively and bubbly.
So glad, I am not the only one, that takes a "black tub". Every time I head out for riding or camping trip, I have it with me.

Hell yeah. Got to have a gubbins box. (Disclaimer: Contents may vary based upon time of year and activities of choice)
Damn didn't see the bamboo cutlery coming in a mtb vid, respect man
8:48 I was laughing hard
The cabinet and countertop setup in Blake's shop is nicer than what most people have in their kitchens lol.
I agree about plastic. We finally got rid of plastic straws with paper wrappers...Now we have paper straws with plastic wrappers.
I do remember the first episodes of "blade builds" WE WANT MOAR!
Oneup EDC tool has easily been my favorite accessory, so easy to get to and you never have to worry about forgetting it.
Van. Best buy ever. Crew cab long wheel base so it fits the kids in as well as all of our bikes... and several large plastic boxes with all the kit like helmets, shoes, tools....
..I could just listen to blake all day long talking about bikes'n'stuff..awesome dude 🖤
Friggin love you, Blake. Your positivity made my day so much better. Little Mr Sunshine you!
I LOVE YOU BLAKE!!! 💕💕💕
Love all your videos. So much fun to watch and cheers me right up.

Good vibes! Thank you Blake!
2 Black tubs. One for my husband, one for me😉 Crank Brothers tool and my evoc hipbag with always a protein bar for my husband🤣 pressed air, lots of water and if it goes crazy my ortema jacket and a fullface helmet. And of course lip balm. Espeacially in winter for my cheeks. Ready to go. My roof top tent was the best idea ever. Love it so much.

I can feel your love for bikes and all good things in life all the way here in Sweden ;)
That's one nice looking garage! Cheers mate!
We've got a set each of those exact cutlery rolls from Amazon. Really great. Stops rattles in the van too.
You’re the best Blake!!
Great video Blake .I carry a bum bag with the essentials in and a seat pack for my lad and I ,full of sweets 😋
My 14 favourite things now. Blake is the best...
Always keeping it real Blake.
Black tubs for life!
There is a dedicated zip tie tension/cutter tool. You can adjust the tension setting and it does a really good job of cutting flush and smooth. Not the kind of thing you want in your pack or pocket on a ride, but it's great for the workshop or in your traveling tool box.

I would add a rag and a drivechain brush to that list. And zip ties! Actually managed to fix a punctured innertube mid ride even though I was lacking the tool needed to take of the wheel (security bolts on my city/backup bike). Folded the tube on itself, zipped it tight, and put it back in. It held days/weeks before I took the time to fix it. True story!
My daughter and I have had so many great laughs and giggles thx to the MacRide! She was expensive with import fees and taxes on top of a hefty price. But still totally worth it imho. Biggest girl i is 4,5 yo now and can still come with me, but I have to stiffen up the fork and put here in a somewhat awkward position so her feet doesn't rub the tire if I turn when the fork compress. Stoked that our 1,5 yo soon can start ride with me as well!!
Great work once again blake top bloke😉
Finger nail trimmers for cable ties for me.

I keep catching my Missus watching GMBN but it's strangely only blakes videos...must be that lip balm
cool video. your personality is great and always look forward to new content. great looking jeep btw.
Zip tie hack: sure you can buy those fancy pliers, so your hand doesn't look like a psycho cat had your hand in it's death claws. But a quick blast of a lighter on the sharp end makes them round. Graduate of ZipTie University, Class of 1999

I'll definitely try this, I've been using my knife to round them off.
Toenail clippers for cutting zipties works the best of anything I have used and cost about .98 at the drugstore.
I'm from California. Love the videos! Just bought a 2022 Marlin 5.
My clip-on fleshlight attachment for my MTB
1:06 Oh yeah that black tub fits perfectly :P
Can confirm that the Mac Ride has become an essential thing for me as a MTB loving Dad
For clipping zip ties, the best thing to use that I’ve found is toenail clippers. They’re dirt-cheap, you can clip zipties extremely close, and the curve in the toenail clippers ensures there are no sharp corners. Try it out - they work better than the park tool pliers and you probably already have some!
I can listen to you say HERE all day long ; )
I keep a Jet Boil and coffee in my bin. As soon as wake up I have coffee brewing.
6:20 ...sure!! "hydration tablets" :D

I'm gonna get a new garage built and then outfit it some point this year or next so a "bike cave mistakes to avoid" would be super handy!
Blake, you have to start selling that bike rack dude. That's killer. Great video. I will probably now buy most of what you showed, including the Jeep. Damn, I should've just watched your video about cornering or something :-D
I love welcome back you beautiful people
The Topeak Ratchet is my all time favourite tool
If Blake is an animal.. he is my spirit animal.
I was thinking this the other day. A walk through of your cave with things you like and things you would do differently.
My favorite thing: Blake
I love how Blake says "Here"
All great ideas for sure esp that fresh foam thing, some of the mini tool sets u mentioned also fantastic but the drill ill pass lol
Nice old Blake
Love the way Blake stops the think about what's in the tinfoil. Ja right, hydration tablets. ;-)
flush cutters are an ace tool, but I'd recomend the Knipex version over the Park one, cheaper and nicer. for budget concious, the Xuron ones are pretty good too.

Got them ones exactly. Good for removing mudguard if get so clogged up with mud can’t move 😆
Hope to see u in natural thrilling trails of Nepal🖤
I've had a topeak ratchet set for years... bloody great! I find traditional folding tools never fit in where you need it too
Top video jajajajaj now feel motivated to get on the trail mzself, what gest me going the longest while bike is *delta parole* or other rokk music!
2:33 I've tried it, yes it works to have a nice smell, but does not actually clean it like it says on the can, regular hand soap will do a much better job. I used the foam fresh and brown dirty water when I used hand soap. I take the helmet liner and cheek pads and wash them, if it's time to do it. a good idea is to buy spare liner and pads, so you can just swap them and let the other dry. I use fresh gloves after each long ride, and always wash the pads after getting them sweaty and dirty, and have second pair so one can dry, and I have a set to use.
my favorite is my full face helmet it has won me a lot of money and saved me from pain few times
My favorite thing on your shop is the Death Proof poster.
I LOVE my macride, So many epic moments that I have created with my son
5:50 search wire cutters for electronics on AliExpress and get a box of cutters then leave one everywhere car garage work. Good for being dad on Christmas Day too
my current favourite bit of kit is a super basic one. Just a bottle mount with a zip up puch that slots in there. on longer rides where i can't go without a pack it is just a puncture repair kit with a spare tube in case i tear a tyre. On shorter outings where i don't need to consider hydration, i take the tube out and can easily fit my phone and house keys in there. Now i just need to find the balance of length of ride in this hotter weather if im not caryying a pack. Neck a litre of drink, go out for an hour, and neck another litre when i get back seems to work for now. Really like the idea of a hip pack with a hydration bladder, but a bit concerned it would mess with my lower back pain having it just bouncing around the problem area.
I like your attitude towards plastic🤘.
“Fanny” is something entirely different in England. Notice how he took such glee in saying it? Lol
My favourite mtb accessorie is my bike repair stand as I have lost count of how many times I have used it to make repairs or wash my bike.
Omg! I have the same tyre pressure gauge as Blake. I have ascended!
I love my roof top tent on my jeep. Next project is to build a bike rack mself!
You can also grab the zip tie right near the head with linesman/pliers and twist the excess cable tie off. Leaves nothing behind and will never cut you.
LoL and I just carried a bottle of water. I guess I need a truck now. Hey Blake, where is your Water bottle?
I use nail clippers to cut zip ties.
"I love a good fanny pack” 😂
A tip top video series you did on your garage build Blake! Very helpful, so cheers, fella!
When I grow up I want to be just like Blake.
Blake always rides in the lead, so Richie can have a look at that epic fanny baggie
I prefer metal cutlery, i have a swish army knife that detaches into 2, one with a knife and bottle opener, the other with a fork/spoon, compact, easy to carry, now if only I remember to pack it 🤣
I didn't know that Blake can do Kung Fu not until I watch this video till the End.......🤣✌️🤣✌️🤣✌️
You forgot the most basic. Phone. I got to have my music plus every other benefit that phones provide.😁
Yes Blake yeeew
I have a box too Blake. Mine's blue and bigger on the inside.
I have so many of these things lol
Lube
My black tub is a blue Ikea bag 😂
Hydration tabs officer, honestly.
Korg and his essentials
A good hack for trimming zip ties is to use a nail clipper!
I would say a heart rate monitor for my Garmin. As I leak quite a bit. I think it's permanently gone on strike. So I'd say my Garmin watch. After looking in the settings. I found out I can use that as my heart rate monitor by setting it to transmit. Gold Secure locks. I have two. One in my car to stop thieving little baskets nicking it off the carrier. Also a Hiplok Gold when I'm out and going to leave my bike. I also have Hiplok Z Lok. I have 3 in the car as a deterrent when I'm on my way to the trail. I also carry 2 other Z Loks when I'm out just as a get me out of trouble when I need to pop into a shop for a couple of minutes. I actually use all the lock I carry it I lock my bike outside a shop for a while. I also use all the locks in my car when I leave my bike on the carrier and I'm gone for a while.
I keep a nail cutter in my bumbag to cut cable ties.
Please do a garage walkthrough update!
I love mtb but I have been kind of in a funk not riding and neither have my friends any suggestions?
Why aren't dh bikes made from steel when it is more durable than alloy and provides bump absorption at a small weight price that comes with good quality steel frame. It looks rad too

I use them in work to fit cables for telecom equip. The ultimate is the gun that tightens and snaps off the tie inside the grip.
