This movie seems to be a lot like its name... Shallow. It just looks like another thriller. I could totally be wrong though! Either way, I love that Blake lively was able to take so much from it and show how even the seemingly simplest parts of the story line have deeper levels and show the complexity of human beings and also able to use this movie to bring awareness to global warming and shark conservation

I really enjoyed and appreciate the movie not just because it was a thrill to watch. Sharks are not monsters; they are animals doing what they've been doing for millions of years but as Blake said, global warming (caused by humans) is pushing them closer to where people swim. But killing them isn't the answer cause they're essential to oceans ecosystem and more so preservation of sharks are important and I thank Blake Lively and everyone involved with the film for shining light on it.

I saw the film and I have been in the water where s shark swam over head above me as I was scuba diving in the Philippines. I hid behind a rock just like hooper in jaws. I Had a guide with me all the time🎉safe.

the action seems quite interesting. it's not just a shark attack film, the cinematography and the action, the movements are quite intriguing.

Umm seriously just spoiled the film's ending 2:13 "I was impressed by all the ways she figured out to survive". Are you serious? I wanted to see the movie super bad, and now much less, and it'll be much less thrilling when I see it now because we now know she survives. Thks for ruining that, I don't understand when that's your job, how do you say stuff like that? Even I know better than to say stuff like that in a conversation next to a friend who hasn't seen it, so for the televised promotion of the film?

That can just mean to survive throughout the film. She obviously survives through the film (since she is in all of it) and then we just don't know if at the end she makes it.

She mentioned global warming is the reason sharks are being pushed closer to shore. Maybe it's a way to slowly built up awareness of the sharks environmental status. Blake herself has been posting some pictures on that topic.
