Do I believe that Griffin gave his all the last year and a half with the Pistons? Nope. Should he be giving his all for a franchise going nowhere with no future with him and his contract? Nope. The Pistons are finally looking like they have a future and that may be part of Griffin's legacy. He got out of the way when he needed to. He's a good guy, I like him and hope for a championship in his future.

That sounds nice. Have you been informed of how much the Detroit Piston's still have tied up in money paying Blake Griffin yet on buyout because he underperformed to where no one would trade since he was not worth his contract? If you're not getting it, Blake the Fake robbed the city of Detroit and it's still being paid.

2019 Blake gave it his all. After that he had no reason to go full blast. He was hurt and even if he was lob City Blake they wouldn't contend in the East. Pistons fans should not really hold a grudge. He had the decency to not pull a Kevin Love on them and save them some money

@@jays0909 I don't disagree. But even if he did play to his max, the Pistons were capped as a first round exit. You would not be serious contenders but also not bad enough to Draft as good as you did. Why compete hard if there is no chance to win it all? Just my opinion. Thanks in part to him sucking for a bit and opting out of his contract you saved a bunch of money and now have one of the best young cores in the league. I would take that over one more good year of Blake.

The way how Blake explains that misconception about his dunking stat is natural for a dude who works on his stand-up comedy, but there's not much NBA players that take digs at the media like that, they usually post offended stuff rather than make a joke on the media, great mindset for him to have. But to be fair, in the first 19 games of the season probably even Curry dunked, so it's still weird for Blake of all guys to not do it

I would agree with what was said here about arbitrary stats popping up and becoming talking points... It's annoying to hear even as a fan, it just gets put out by media who HAS to create drama. And then it gets regurgitated over and over and over again by other parts of the media and fans, it's so f'ing tiring to read about and listen to.

Blake was one of the hardest working players for the Nets in this past playoffs. I respect that. I think he had a pretty solid career. I would generally rank him in the top 10% of the league in his prime (roughly 500 players so that would put him top 50ish).

His Clippers lob city days there wasn't too many power forwards I'd choose over him. I imagine if he had played the 5 with Chris Paul back then or was with a center who shot threes instead of DeAndre Jordan clogging up the paint Blake cpuodve averaged a lot more points those years too.
