Blade Infusion 120 Helicopter flight and my personal settings for advanced flight.

Ғылым және технология

Hey everybody, I just received my Blade Infusion 120 and I couldn’t wait to fly it. Out of the box it is very docile and based on a beginner to intermediate pilot. I wanted more performance. As with all new Blade Helis, you can change settings in the forward programming. I spent about 4 hours flying it, and this is what I came up with. I think the heli has a better feel now. In the end of the video, you will see my settings to input in your radio. Please take a picture of your settings before you change them. You can always go back. There is too much to remember. Take that pic! At the end of that video I forgot to mention that I am using +30% expo for aileron and elevator at 100% rates. I do not use expo on my brushless motor tail rotors. I guess there is 100 ways to do things, but it always goes back to the first person who taught you. If it was free advice, it’s not worth anything, you paid nothing for it, so as you learn, use common sense and critical thinking. Ask yourself, does this make sense, and then prove that it makes sense. If an engineer tells me his work is good and finished, I engineer the finished work and make it my own. I’m just sharing my findings. The infusion 120 definitely flies, it’s just how do you want it to fly. Use the forward programming and get an understanding for what settings do. The sky is wide open. It’s up to you. Don’t be lazy with this hobby. It’s the type of hobby that takes years and could be with you the rest of your life. That’s my plan. Thanks for watching. I’m just a human who likes to promote flying and R/C in general. It will keep you going.

Great flying as usual Justin, not to beat up blade but I just don’t see the value here for $200 at the same price point for an s1 running good servos, aluminum head and carbon fiber frames. I’m kind of surprised blade went with linear servos on this model but either way love your videos and watching your flights.

Damn, I miss your content. I jump between FPV and helicopter stuff. I recently got back into helicopter cuz there was a HeliBash @ Livermore, Ca. Learned about it too late, but meet cool dudes and I was a lil intimidated bringing out my lil dudes. I didn't fly that day...lol. I got that AMA thingy. Gotta be legit. Gonna watch ALL your stuff now. Thanks again for everything.

Cool man, I didn’t have the stamina for a 10 hour drive to Livermore so I flew at my local club. I’m sure it was a nice event. If you have heli knowledge for assembling I’ll have some nice Synergy assembled kits a Gaui X7 and Align 700 nitro for sale this week. They are very clean and barely flown and cheap. I’m just making room for other stuff. Take it easy.

Good to see this settings CoeShow and as always thank you so much for this informative video. I’m in a process of giving the NX10 a try, only because of the Blade Infusion 120. You’re right, I have the S1 from Goosky 😂. Very good helicopter, Blade for a fact I know is very is a good heli as well, can take some crashes here and there. Amazon messed up my order and had to return it. Ordered the NX10 but sent me the DX6e 😂. Anyway, regards and looking forward to see more upcoming videos from you. NX10 or Blade Infusion 120. By the way would you trade your NX10SE for a nimbus 550 kit with full size servo mounts?

Thanks for watching and I have an extra Ix12 radio if you want to trade that. Are you in San Diego? It’s the shipping that really kills the deal. It’s easy to meet at my airfield though. Anytime. Thanks friend. Facebook Justin Coe Show Coe and Instagram CoeShow619. Get ahold of me. Thanks.

Hi, which menu in forward programming did you use to increase the pitch? Thanks. Just seen how you did it later in the video. I didn't know you could use FP for that, so I've learnt something 😊 Great flight by the way!

Forward programming was not an option for my NX eight on this helicopter. I can’t remember right now if it just didn’t show it or if it did and it just never connected. One or the other. But I was never able to get into Ford programming on mine.

You need to plug in the helicopter with the radio on. It will appear in the model adjustments menu about half way down the list. Click on it within 10 feet of the helicopter. Wallah! There it is. So as long as we are talking about a new NX8 not a DX8. Although you could update the DX8 to see it also.

Always appreciate your effort CoeShow619_ I notice the D/R settings in the Instructions show: Normal = 100/100%, FM1 = 100/100%, but FM2 = 75/75%. why is FM2 D/R "Lower than FM0 and FM1" ? also, does anyone have a comprehensive Glossary / Terminology, of all the Spektrum Terminology ? ( or 3rd party manuals similar to the Futaba Manuals written by Don Edberg )

I have given up on the manuals. I’ve been in this hobby for 35 years and yeah, this millennial age manual does not make any sense at all. I just use common sense and go at it logically. The radio can remain 100% because we can adjust roll and pitch rates in the forward programming.. I’ve been telling these guys for 10 years I need to be hired to test helicopters and airplanes and write manuals that make sense. Believe me, I know exactly what you mean.
