Back when Snipes was doing promotions in Germany for Blade 1 a German guy ask Snipes that exact question “can you blush?” Snipes told Goyer that story so he decided to add it in Blade II. I remember seeing trailers for this movie back in 2002 when I was 6. From what I saw in the trailers, I thought Blade as an ass-kicking trenchcoat-wearing mysterious black guy; I think I had a crush on him a bit. But, since the movie was rated R, I didn't get to see it, so I compromised by creating my own character based on Blade called (IIRC) "Slayer" who looked a lot like him. I would write stories about him on Microsoft Word (but since I was 6, he was in childish situations. I didn't know Blade hunted vampires back then) and he even showed up in a comic I wrote about Swayzak (from Toonami); but by the time I wrote that comic, I had largely forgotten about him and Blade. It was just a stroke of luck I remembered him. I even forgot about him until I saw this review (alongside vague recognition when I was watching the first Blade review earlier.) Yeah.

This film is quite entertaining and Perlman as Reinhardt was an awesome choice. Fun fact, Perlam and Del Toro are very close friends as the actor has been in almost half of the director's films. Perlman's best role is arguably as Hellboy, a role that was directed by Del Toro. Turns out he cares more about Del Toro than his role and literally refused to return as Del Toro wasn't making the new film. He made the right choice.

Yes, but of course it was also meant to be a racist line. The ting is today people get offended by everything, when in fact Perlman's line was supposed to be racist, as he's one of the villains. Getting offended by it as if things like that are not "supposed" to be said is the worst kind of censorship and oppression. It's like idiots all over the place getting offended by the use of the word "nigger" in Django Unchained, when it was totally normal for the time period the movie takes place in. Anyway, language and thought censorship are not acceptable anywhere, unlike SJWs (read modern-day Nazi) like to think.
