Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

    Thanks for sharing your beautiful work. So cool to watch. My grandfather in Brazil was a blacksmith. I loved going into his workshop on the farm. Sometimes, as a little girl, I’d peek in there at night when all the menfolk were out there talking and laughing around the fire (drinking some beer, I imagine.) I’m going to share this video with my two sons. Thank you!

    I love the look of the twist! I'm just getting into blacksmithing to add a different element to my fabrications. This project looks perfect to add to my list of things to learn. Thanks for sharing.

    Thank you! The water twist is probably my favourite twist technique. It’s definitely worth trying. Best of luck!

    First video of yours i've ever seen. Reallly like the result. You've just taught me a twist I didn't know existed. I'm definitely going to try this one, even if it comes out a little wonky I'll still be pleased. You just got another happy sub!

    Moondog 1970 thank you! It’s my favourite twist but it’s still tricky to get even every time. More videos to follow this one!

    Nice job and video angles, when upsetting the end of a bar its best to make a short heat section if its heated too far or too long cool it in water to consolidate the length, much easier to control without distorsion, its all practice, a small flare or fish tail scrolled over for the handle end would have finished that off differently.

    It looks like you made the cuts clear through? If not how deep are they.

    One of my favourite openers. Maybe a dumb question? How come you use an oxy-acetylene cutter to warm the handle and not a heating torch?

  • @winterbrookforge

    @winterbrookforge

    Thanks! The oxy-fuel is much hotter than the flame from a standard plumbers heating torch

    I didn't like the rounded end, thought that it deserved more than that, but... BUT... on seeing the finished article I thought that it looked just right. Great job. As an aside, do you not have a touchmark? (This is my 1st visit to your site, now subscribed :) )

    А я на другом конце делаю волюту. Петля такая кузнечная для тех, кто не в курсе. А здесь автор просто обрезал конец после торсиона и всё... Скучно сделал.
