Hey Levi, I believe it is a Swedish "Star" anvil. It has a stamp (hallmark) that features what looks like a crown inside a five pointed star. The imprint is imperfect so it's kind of hard to see. I looked online intensively but I found very little about it. It also has markings stating that is "185 lbs" and has a raised number "10" on the opposing side. I bought it 7 years ago from an e-bay seller (in person). It is in very good shape: no dents on chips and almost no wear. I payed $600 for it. Awesome deal. I also own a 220 lbs Austrian JEB anvil that is about 130 years old and another one that is about 240 lbs and is a 2 horned German anvil. Both of those are in my old shop in Hungary waiting to be shipped to me. Thanks for the comment.

Hey Mr.blizzy. Thanks for the comment. I don't think I have time for a video like that at this point. I can give you some advice. Grip your hammers loosely but firmly at the same time. Just like you would drum sticks (not the chicken leg ones). It's all about rhythm, especially when you're working on small materials. Use a small hammer that is easy to control and use fast but accurate strikes. And don't forget "practice makes perfect". Don't get frustrated if you don't succeed first, just keep at it and you'll be better. Good luck!

Hey T S. I am forging for 22 years now, as a professional. I have never worn safety glasses for forging and I never had an eye injury of any kind. I wear them for grinding and cutting but never for forging. I rarely see any blacksmith putting them on for forging either, only beginners and novice guys who are still scared off the scale and the heat. Those people also use gloves on their hammer hands.
