I loved this chill, yet super vibey bop and the classical sample they used was so clever ! And the choreo oh my god I can’t wait to see a live performance of this song I feel like it’s gonna be 1000x better

As simple as this music video is, you missed that every set had a reference of their past music videos. This is VERY meaningful to Blink as they have included also the references for the girls first eras Boombayah (Lisa's rap around the truck with trash bags), Whistle (girls inside the car, Rose sitting on top of the globe) and Playing with fire (Jennie Playing with the match, Lisa's rap standing on the bridge) and many others. This is ICONIC. And it can also point that they are starting a new era from now on. I look very forward to see what the girls have for us

But absolutely this song with a whole evil BRIDGETON vibe or it really reminds me of an evil vengeance kdrama scene like penthouse (kdrama) the classical sample is perfect and I agree the MVs are similar with a lot going on but suits the whole paying homage to there past hits and MVs but I am still absolutely obsessed with the song! would of have loved something different for this new “BORN PINK” era being the queens that they are!! Idk why, but this music video gives me anxiety. They are approaching their 7 year mark and I really do hope and pray this is not YG giving us a hint at their disbandment. We all know what YG did to 2NE1 in order to debut BLACKPINK. Rumors are that YG wants to debut a new girl group for years now and it hasn’t happened yet. Why? All the references to their past music videos being stored away gives me a weird feeling. It feels like a goodbye, a tribute, rather than a new beginning as some claim. Even them at the end of the video get out of the elevator to go into the ‘storage’ set. I don’t like the vibe it gives meeee, it’s dark imo. Their company does not treat their female artists the same way they do with their male artists, I wouldn’t put it past them to break up BLACKPINK at the hight of their career like they did with 2NE1 as, yet again, a sick and twisted marketing strategy for their next female group. Let’s be real, YG is not invested in BLACKPINK. This group has been carried and brought to where they are by their incredibly devoted and wonderful fans. YG does the bare minimum if not even less at times for their musical career. 7 years and we haven’t even reached 50 songs? The whole joke of ‘models or singers’ is mean and sick but it’s also kinda true, they are more invested in getting an absurd amount of brand deals for them than to develop their musical career like how other companies are with their girl groups. That is why I am afraid, I really wouldn’t be surprised if they discarded themselves of them next year. But the joke would be on them because what BLACKPINK managed to achieve is because of those 4 girls and the people that love THEM. The impact BLACKPINK made is not going to be matched by their next girl group not matter the amount of marketing they put into it, especially in the west. Most people that don’t even know much about kpop STILL know kpop as BTS and BLACKPINK. Period. This is their golden ticket, their most successful project ( grown organically, by the people, I wanna make that point clear again, not because they did THAT much to push them places, the FANS took them places ) and I just hope they know not to blow it.

YG honestly is tired as fuck. Time and time I look at blackpink’s comebacks and they could have had an even bigger budget and more innovative concepts but YG is stuck in their old and tired ways and it literally holds the girls back for SO many times. The versatility of these girls as a performers/ singers could have made their discography so much better. And now look at how SM and hybe with their girl group and look at how YG literally copy and paste 2ne1 s formula onto blackpink… like sure it works and brings in money but these girls honestly can go so much further and do so much more stuff if YG has more creativity in them. Literally stop overworking teddy💀

LOVE BORN PINK SO AMAZING

Jennie’s my bias… her raps are just on another level especially live… but also her singing voice is so underrated… she’s got this extremely unique caramel tone and she’s always the one who projects her voice above the backtrack in like every song. I love how her rap and vocal sound and flow change from sing to song bc she loves to play around with how her voice sounds.. it’s just so much powerful variety. I really fell in love with her voice in the Japanese songs or the lives from Tokyo dome.. it’s such a unique rich tone!!! They’re all fire though honestly and deserve every ounce of love and respect possible !

This song is such a great bop/diss track-esque track! I read somewhere that them using their old sets from previous mvs is a message to haters. Haters who say they are repetitive in their sound and look. They’re recycling the sets and literally saying we can reuse everything (minus the white room I think) and STILL be the biggest girl group in the world because they’re BLACKPINK🤷🏾‍♀️. It also seems like with them shutting down their sets, it’s the end of an era for them so that makes me curious as to what the next comeback (lord, another wait🙃🖤💖) will be like. Love you Micah and your content🤍🤍🤍

I really like the song the melody was really hitting and yess I was reminded of 'My Favourite Things' from 'The Sound of Music' too super nostalgic! The music video was not doing it for me though. I understood the references to past mv's but the overall execution of it seemed lazy and not creatively driven at all. For an MV that supposedly had "the biggest budget" it seemed dare I say it low quality in todays market. The girls looked beautiful and I loved the styling my fav looks so far was Rose with the green jacket, Jisoo in the alleyway with the 2 braids & bun with the grey skirt and crop top, Lisa in the blue outfit & Jennie in the knee high boots (I want them omg)

@@artistblue18 I thought it was both MV's but that deffo makes sense. The production of Pink Venom was great while Shutdown was visibly a lot less effort which is interesting as the Pink Venom MV had more of an impact visually as a pre-release single than the Shutdown MV does as the title track

Same. The quality of the video was a let down, even the coloring and actual clarity of the video seems off with this one. I am actually shocked this is a BLACKPINK music video, we are usually very spoiled.

Can you react to the solo stages and the different live performances from the concerts from the “rock music” channel? The masquerade idea is fire. But that would require yge to actually put thought and care into anything that they do… they basically give us bare minimum bc they know we will support anything the girls do bc the girls actually deserve the hype… the company must need money to spend on their male idols or something bc that’s pretty much how they use them. They’re basically social media influencers that they stick together and throw some songs they have laying around at them to record and then create videos like this that take legit no thought process at all… and pretend that it’s “for blinks” and “so meaningful” when in reality it’s just old lazy bs they have lying around yge. They deserve way better imo

I give it a 7/10. I wish they used a different formula tho. The vocals are simple, the choreo is even more simple. Its catchy tho🤷🏾‍♀️ i just want MORE😩 Like more vocals, harmonies, change of rap tone. These kpop companies need to call me up ASAP!!😝
