If I was her and my contract at YG was up for renewal I would demand the artistic freedom to collaborate with any artists in solo projects. They are YGs main source of income and prestige. They need far more than Blackpink do.

Are u even sure that YG blocks it? Maybe u aren't even sure if YG really meddle to their jobs? Why don't u assess pros and cons of music covering in social or fans' perception and legal terms regarding copyright? Fans may claim it as R's as they discredit the actual owner who did most of the effort. Did u even notice that most of covers R OFFICIALLY post are songs of unknown or underrated ppl? Not known popular ppl? Bc she somehow value the song or just wanted to promote the poor talented unknown singer. Plus they met eachother in LA at the time with jennie. Bella even mentioned her again this yr that when met they hung out to paint their nails. A cowriter of the song also mentioned her in a korean radioshow that she met rosé. There must be more of it but its for sure, she did this remix
