i'm not crying, your crying. 🥺 - beyond stoked! can't wait to see the documentary of our pinks as they reveal their journey to becoming who they are today. i do hope the many people who lived against these four women, spreading toxicity and plain negativity.. open their eyes and see BLACKPINK are more than just idols. they are humans with a heart that can easily be broken too. may GOD bless a smooth release and the hearts of those who aim against it.

@@60._smth42 I honestly wonder what their real personalities are when the cameras are turned off... I think it's kinda a shame that companies don't allow them to be themselves... But I also guess that with the persona that YG (and other K-Pop companies) assign them to - dose give them some kind of anonymity and privacy. But I also feel that with all the rules that idols have to follow and ensuring that they stay within these personas (like reading off a script for interviews and their shows on their YT and insta pages), that there probably wouldn't be alot of stuff that they won't be able to open up on compared to western artists in their Netflix documentaries...(like when Taylor Swift opened up on her eating disorder and the difficulty that woman face in the industry). But I feel that this is probably gonna manly focus on their music rather than their personal lives, like for the reasons stated above... But that's just my opinion🤷

Especially if you watch them on their reality show “24/355 with blackpink”, or on korean variety shows, they’re hilarious and really fun. Also people will only talk about stuff like eating disorders if uh, idk, they actually struggled with that? If someone didn’t struggle with something, why would you expect them to talk about that. Just cause you aren’t talking about something super personal or heartbreaking that doesn’t mean you’re inauthentic?

@@mariamfaisal4896 It's a single episode documentary, about 1-2 hrs long. On Netflix there are documentaries for other music artists, like Taylor Swift, Lady Gaga, Beyonce, Michael Jackson etc etc. I think this will be similar.
jennie just said 'it's just the beggining '. they just started thier career. and people are already comparing them to CL and other idols. she just wants us to see the potential in them and not compare them with others
There is one reaction video which say "If you are going to judge Blackpink, you have to understand they are not a kpop artist anymore or a western artist anymore, they are global artists."

Why netflix specifically chose blackpink to make their first k pop documentary? Because blackpink is the fastest growing k pop group in k pop history, blackpink is statistically the most profitable kpop group in history as it is the group that has earned the most with the fewest songs.

If Blackpink is so popular and successful now, then it is just for their hardwork and talent. They also struggled a lot but as they conquered success in a short time people think they didn’t faced any obstacles. But, they were doing such hardwork from their training days, many times their debut got cancelled, they didn’t had a full album for 4 years but they didn’t stopped which is really worth of their success. No one paved their way. Blackpink have paved their own way......
