Definitely want to see a blind test with this versus major manufacturer high end sticks. Been trying a few alternative brands lately and it is getting hard to tell what is legit and what is junk.

I 100% agree, i'm going to need a lot more convincing before i start to think of buying a blackout stick
Started watching your channel a few weeks ago and totally enjoy your videos. You provide relevant information to those of us who play this great game. I live in Montreal and I started playing with wooden sticks going on to 60 years ago, still playing 3 times a week. With the increased pace of equipment evolution its difficult to keep up with the innovations and your channel does a great job of keeping us up to date. Congratulations to you and your team. Michel
I got a few blackout mainly for their selection of non-standard curves and of course the price. I like old school P02 curves and these did the trick. I think they are great and worth a try if you are on the fence.

Sounds good; I too like the PO2 and have one on the way; I've been using the Sherwood PP05 (same curve) but am down to one stick and they are hard to find.
Can you test one of Twig Hockey Company sticks? I have 2 of em the dispatch (low kick) and they're Rogue (mid kick). Absolutely love both of em. Would love to see how you guys rate em
Is it better than the swift you recently reviewed ??
Really looking forward to the shootout of the lower price sticks. I've been considering this one and the prostockhockeystick sticks. Maybe a blackout test adding a Bauer or CCM in there would be cool. Thanks for the video.

I love my prostockhockeysticks
What stick has the best release that you have
+1 on the blind stick test! I use a similar brand (All Black Hockey Sticks) instead of Bauer these days and wonder how they stack up.
Durability? This was a nice update but has anyone been testing this stick in games to see if they break?
I tried a NoName hockey stick and actually LOVED the weight, feel and performance… but the material in the shaft wasn’t at all durable enough (like this video said) and the shaft broke tipping pucks or on defense when hit. (Both the stick and the second stick I got on warranty)
I was about to buy the CCM FT6PRO stick but ended up ordering a Tovi Mirage Pro 85 flex and two of their Junior Raven sticks for my kids. Should be interesting not having any hockey tape on the blade.
I've recently been getting a lot of ads for Barrel Hockey sticks, they also claim to be a a fairer price point. Maybe worth looking into?
Ty!
can you guys do the True Project X please?
off topic ask Tommy if he prefers the True skates or the CCM skates ?
Are these any different than prostockhockeysticks / HSM Pro Blackout Extra Lite? Do they come from the same underlying manufacturer?

the prostock ones are 375 grams and just way better quality along with 50x the curve options.
As one of the few people that own one it’s great
The Super Novium has to be in a durability test since it's the lightest stick out there at 331 grams for a full size senior 85 flex, I actually measured one myself and it weighed 330 grams
Blind test would be cool! Do it boys
Yes a blind test would be awesome
It's still expensive. I can get a pro stock stick that's last years model for the same or better price. Snagged a Trigger 7 for a lower price, and that's a proven stick.

That’s what I used to do but next year I think I’m getting a pro extra lite which feels just like a top of the line stick.
I got one from All Black Hockey sticks and it was garbage. Couldn't see the carbon fiber, unbalanced, felt very heavy at the blade, would not recommend. I got one from Hockey Stick Man and it is phenomenal. Looks exactly like that one you have in this video and I honestly can't tell a difference between it and my Vapor 1x Lite. I will be buying these from now on for me and my kids.

The problem is that once you get used to agents, protos, project x, any thing 400 grams is heavy

You can see the carbon fiber on the blade. The grip coating covers it on the shaft. As far as being 'unbalanced', or heavy at the blade, I have one right here and have no idea what you mean. What balance do they lack?

@@joeschmo2693 from my experience they lack some blade balance. what level of hockey are you playing? that guy looks like a stars elite coach, someone whod know what the yre talking about

@@joeschmo2693 when you pick the stick up as a whole it appears light. as soon as you take your grip and put it down into a playing position you immediately notice the blade feels heavy like that is where all the weight of the stick lies. Makes it feel sluggish when stickhandling/shooting/passing. It could be that I bought a lower quality stick from All Black and bought the Extra Light from HSM. Either way I don't recommend the All Black and highly recommend the HSM Extra Light.
Do the blind test.
?????????? $206 on my computer, plus shipping. That's OK, but no super bargain.

OK, that was Canadian $s.
You can buy 2 of these sticks and it would still be cheaper then 1 top line brand

Comparison video that directly compared the stick to literally zero other sticks, except to elude to the price, which isn’t new information.
I always had a practice / warmup stick and then the game stick. No way was I going to use up my best stick shooting in warmups. If I was a dad that plunked down $400 for some 13 year old I would make sure it’s a game time only stick.
