Uhh… with open gate you can shoot regular and vertical the same way.

it looks great. but no internal nd filters...and i understand about the side monitor, but one on top or a folding monitor would have made much more sense. and is that the same sensor as in the pocket full frame? so the same camera just different body? but the size is perfect. also i wouldn't mind autofocus...:)

The Pyxis wasn't made for entry level run-n-gun users. The Pyxis is designed for sticks and shoulder work like a RED or an ARRI. If people want a flip-out screen and HDMI, they should buy a handycam. Even if the 4" screen flipped-out, I wouldn't use it. I'll be using the EVF and the 7" external. There's no need for built-in NDs, as most cinematographers already have screw-on NDs or a Matte Box with NDs. NiSi ATHENA PRIMEs even have a drop-in ND blade option. Built-in NDs would be too limiting or not used. The people complaining about the side screen and no built-in NDs are just painting themselves as handycam hobbyists not cinematographers making films.

Danke für die Details. Was ich mir aber wünschen würde, wäre, dass diese Kamera, oder vielleicht ein zweites Modell, wetterfest für Outdoor-Filmer gebaut würde. Dieses Modell ist leicht und perfekt zum professionellen Filmen von Tieren und anderen Outdor Aktivitäten. Auch wichtig wäre ein grosses ausklappbares Display. Aber trotzdem eine grossartige Kamera zu einem vernünftigen Preis.

This is what I’ve been SEARCHING EVERYWHERE for!! No one has said anything to my knowledge. It does have the same sensor, so I’m afraid it will have the same rolling shutter performance as the Cinema 6K…

The people complaining about the side screen and no built-in NDs are just painting themselves as handycam hobbyists not cinematographers making films. A 4" screen is too hard to pull focus with. You need an external monitor.
