That's cool that you are digging into more Blackbriar. They sure deserve much more love than they got so far.

Loving your Blackbriar reactions. This story essentially is her lover and possibly soulmate died and she feels that he took her soul with him. Unable to think clearly because of the grief she decides to search his coffin but all she find is his mortal remains.

It's haunting, for sure. Love Zora's voice. I'm a member of her Patreon and she has shared some of her isolated vocal tracks. Stunning, and where appropriate, creepy as hell.

Odd comment to make, but stick with me a minute... First time I heard Blackbriar, I got stuck on the word 'marshmallow' to describe the sound; but didn't know why/what I meant by this. I found it reminded me a bit of a Welsh singer called Cerys Matthews who lead a Brit Pop-Rock band in the mid 90s called Catatonia (hits: Mulder & Scully; Road-rage), but that is mostly the somewhat breathiness of the delivery. Having just caught this reaction, I now think I get it better....the voice is simultaneously huge and soft and airy and sweet (without being sickly or saccharine like you'd get in bubble-gum pop)

She has the volume, steadiness, control, tonal precision, expressiveness, breath support, sustain, sound shaping, and range of a top-tier operatic soloist.

@@MonkeyJedi99 Totally agree! ...and all in the service of the emotion and the message to be transmitted. Zora is surely an extraterrestrial of superior intelligence, come to offer us some of the perfect beauty that exists in her higher class galaxy.

And as a drummer, I must also mention her surgical rhythmic precision.

That intro/outro sounds very similar to a few tracks of Destiny OST (parts from The Traveler). A bit surprised you didn't mention this. Zora is bewitching every time, beautiful and haunting in each of their videos and her voice is indeed ethereal. Also, check the beautiful, sorrowful Heike Langhans. I strongly recommend Hallatar - My Mistake, or songs from Draconian, her main swedish metal band :)
