Yeah. If Natasha was Widow's original target, Natasha would have never seen it coming. No doubt. But the moment black widow knew of the opposing sniper, all she had to do was close the distance. Which is easy with her speed and Widowmaker being a more 'snipers nest' sniper then mobile sniper. Once the range is short, and the guns are out, Natasha was effectivly garanteed to win.

Given that Black Widow has multiple types of assassin work under her training tree, she could not have focused as much as someone who specializes in sniper combat. This battle was played to Black Widows strengths, which WidowMaker would have played away from. These guys don't understand sniper mentalities at all. They would never move in after a running target by "running". Snipers are Methodical. They made WidowMaker look clumsy.

A side note is that one of the creators of both shows also did things that ranged from The Simpsons to Rocko's Modern Life, to even educational stuff like Let's Go Luna.

@@dragonthunderx3250 gameplay mechanics ARE consistent-- no fall damage applies to every single character in overwatch (except out of bounds falls of course). if widowmaker was the only hero to not take fall damage it could be considered a stat but since this is consistent for every hero it doesn't count.

Doesn't Widowmaker's heart beat like 10 times a minute or something? Implying that her brain would not suffer the effects of choking (i.e. the garrote) so rapidly. It should have been a discomfort for her, nothing more. Shouldn't have stopped her from being able to fight.

Huge credit to the animation work here, it's really top notch with only a tiny flaw that clearly says "We didn't have time to adjust this to look better before our deadline." and with that time would have been flawless. (that is one SLOW kick...)

I've NEVER seen Widowmaker survive that long in a direct fight. Honestly the lore makes her out to be far more dangerous than reality. This entire fight was really one sided. Like, in favor of Black Widow one sided. Widowmaker never stood a chance.

It's a complete toss up to be honest. They are both good enough assassins that in reality. Both would win depending on who gets the jump on who. But ending the video in 5 seconds with a head shot isnt bringing in views so they gotta animate it to have the utilize their entire kits. It just so happens to end in a melee which is the one area where black widow has the clear advantage

Now that was an amazing battle to see and this was such an awesome video to watch and enjoy today :]

Not being seen is widowmaker's thing so the Only way to kill Widowmaker is by not being spotted by her.. But even at close range Widowmaker quick scoped a grenade coming towards her in less than a second so for Black Widow to kill her she would have to take her weapon from her and force her into a hand to hand combat, In my humble opinion Black widow would die before even getting the chance to see Widowmaker's face.

I agree kind of but if it were the other way around, with BW sniping at widowmaker, then the same would be true. BW would just shoot her and would win. For a death battle to really work usually no character starts with an advantage and they simply meet head to head

Great video, as always. Sniping tip, never poke the muzzle of the barrels out past windows or over barriers. It's a dead giveaway; shoot from inside the room, through as small an opening as possible. Also, the top floor or on the roof is too easy. Try 3 or 4 stories down, in a random place side to side on the building. Tougher to spot, still great view. That's where Frank would've been... I also like how Widowmaker actually shot the bottle, further giving away her position and wasting ammo (plus drawing attention), instead of seeing it for the trick it was and ignoring it. Marksmanship isn't everything... 15:33 Cool that you showed the rounds barely deflecting off of each other, although it looks like Black Widow fired a whole round through her rifle, and not just the bullet. Looks like a slightly hollow-point round of 7.62x39mm, the round the AK47/M and SKS use. I can even clearly see the rim still on the base of the case lol. It looks like Widowmaker shot a regular bullet tho, and a big one, like snipers tend to use. I think I even see the back tapering to a Spitzer boat-tail, nice! If I had to guess, I think you're animators used a .338 Lapua of .300 Winchester magnum bullet to animate that. Even still, the bullet isn't to scale with the whole round right beside it, wish I could've advised y'all a bit better on that scene. I might've even been able to dig up what happens when bullets hit in more detail for you to go at with Science! I recommend "Understanding Firearm Ballistics' by Rinker, it's the best for beginners - everything you'd need to know for this show lolz Also cool you showed the whole "shot through the scope" sniper trope. It's happened 3 times that I know of. If you want to learn about sniping, I recommend reading the books Chris Kyle wrote. There's also this interview, with the founder of US sniper training: kzread.info/dash/bejne/qHl9uaeGmabNaKw.html I can clearly see Widowmaker has superior marksmanship, but is the worse tactician, strategist, has an inefficient mindset, less experience (or did less learning from hers...), and otherwise behaves more like typical super-babies. I always did like Black Widow :) 16:56 Again, the worst possible way one can do that... I agree with your portrayal and reasoning, good example of how efficient application of force for leverage beats brute power (without obscene disparities). The quotes at the end to, I agree 100%. The silly things these super-babies convince themselves of lol. One of the cooler scenes you ever did, reminds me of some scenes in my homebrew VtM/WoD... She can probably can do the cool Shaolin monk style jump dodgy bit that BW did to get away from WM's mag dump at the end, and like Snake did to get away from a magazine of assault rifle fire in his vid. I will say that marksmanship is different with different gun types, just because someone can make 1000+ yard sniper shots doesn't mean they're an expert pistolero, and vice versa. Most of the people in fiction don't use assault rifles well at all, take that into account when these people "dodge gunfire." Also, you should do Motoko because you need more female combatants - it's hot ;)

Komasan 116 Everybody you mentioned can be 1 or 2 shotted by Widow. Losing to any of them 1 v 1 means either they have better aim, you get snuck up on, or both of you are bad enough that somehow you lose to Brigitte while playing a character that can easily stay it of her range and pick her off.

David Dougherty well about that, Death Battle actually admitted that they were wrong about the battle and apologized on Twitter. For instance, Android 18 doesn‘t absorb blasts and Binary Captain Marvel is easily faster than light and powerful enough to destroy worlds.

To be honest I would say that this fight was unfair to widowmaker not because that Natasha was stronger but because of the fact that we didn't have enough relevant information/knowledge about widowmakers abilities like what if she does has more mele combat training and what if she has more weapons than we know that she has we don't know that (especially when this video was made) so again I would say that this fight was unfair to widowmaker (and BTW I'm not arguing that widowmaker should've won or is stronger again I think it was unfair)

I personally feel that Widowmaker could reposition fast enough to not get caught in close quarters, due to the grappling hook. At range, she has all the advantages and would eventually hit the lucky shot and end up winning.

The amount of collateral damage relative to their abilities in this fight is incredibly disproportionate.

Well, it's kinda over the moment Widowmaker "misses" all her shots. I suppose a clean headshot wouldn't be entertaining enough but if you take the "assassin" out of Widowmaker and force her into melee combat, she's in the clear disadvantage.

Anybody else miss that "F-F-F-FIGHT" sequence? I do.
