In the case of the rebellion and Sparda yes, but that’s because of the swords having inherent properties that would give him Sin DT. If Dante takes too much damage though he will fall, stab or otherwise. Why do you think he was put in a coma for a month? Just to take a break? I’ll add that happens after he was amped by Sparda.

Might need to redo this. Since we now have both DMC 5 and Bayonetta 3. Dante has sin devil trigger now and as of Bayonetta 3, turns out, she can in fact, regenerate from seemingly mortal wounds as she's capable of ripping her own heart out and regenerating it. Killing her demons doesn't depower her nor does it actually inflict meaningful damage on said demon, we now have canon proof via cinematic that Bayonetta's summoned demons can physically die and reincarnate in mere seconds. And lastly, Hell in the Bayonetta'verse is fully capable of sustaining a multiverse worth of Bayonettas. But most importantly, Dante has a motorcycle weapon. And Bayonetta has a train. It's the ultimate rematch.

@@Laerei There's a cutscene in bayo 3 where she is impaled by a Giant wolfman twice her size, with a claw that was as large as her torso. It happens on screen. She instantly heals it as soon as he removes his claw and proceeds to beat him in a boss battle immediately after. She wasn't fatigued or fazed in the slightest after the stab.

Most people who bring up Royal Guard do it with the implication that Dante can be untouchable because he can block anything in the game provided it's timed and therefore theoretically be undefeatable. I bring up Urizen he beats Dante, and therefore shows that he is still fallible despite having royal guard. Otherwise people assume that Dante can block any and all of Bayonetta's attacks when there's no basis for this, and they often don't do the reverse (Bayonetta dodging all of Dante's attacks to be untouchable, her using her own guard etc.) There's also the fact that Dante clearly gets hit multiple times, and even in gameplay if Dante is caught within a grab, he can't block the ensuing damage.

We’re talking in context of royal guard. *”You can royal guard everything even grabs in DMC3”* In 3 yes. In 5 if you get hit by an initial grab, the ensuing attack can’t be blocked. Go watch accountingnightmare DMD on mission 10, she explains it and does it there.

To be fair, someone who uses demons for strength is going to have problems against someone who whose EXPERTISE is killing demons.

Dante in a odd way heavily resembles Kenpachi in the sense he has to constantly hold back or else there is no enjoyment in the fight. However it seems like one of the big differences is Kenpachi can find fun with weak opponents if he lowers himself to their level. While Dante seems almost bored and has to make a joke to keep interested.

Sparda just Sparda is a good weapon in General Fun fact Sparda is like 80% Force Edge and 20% Scythe/Spear/WhateverTheHellTheTipSwitchesTo so basically yeah its just the tip of the weapon that sparda upgrades of Force Edge oh yeah and Luce & Ombra is also another weapon wielded by AND I QUOTE. *The Legendary Dark Knight Sparda* nobody god damn knows why Trish has them Mostly just me Im stupid

8 years later and this is still one of the top animations they've made for sure. The actual animation itself does show it's age a bit with really low detail settings and rigid facial expressions, but the choreography for this death battle is probably some of the best in the series, ESPECIALLY the early portion in the church. It's still really great

Even without the 9D feat/statement, I'm pretty sure Dante still wins, because if you've read the DMC2 Novel, you'll know he would be on an utterly different level than how the games depict him and the others. Character keys: Chen the Cannibal (70% of Sparda's power) Void Mundus (Most powerful version of Mundus) The Beastheads (Probably the most haxy demon in the franchise) Dante (The one who beat them all)

So with cutting through dimensions, the implication being made here is the Yamato can essentially cut through anything. I disagree, and there's a lot to contradict this. The numerous times Dante/Rebellion/Red Queen and the Yamato clashed and the aforementioned swords weren't shattered. We now know the rebellion is now destructible and there's no reason to think the Dante sword is also indestructible (though the threshold to break it is likely on par as the Sparda or higher). Lady blocked it with her rocket launcher. Dante stopped it with his hand as Vergil stopped Dante's sword with his hand. Rebellion again clashes with it as Nero wielded the sword. It was encountered fractured in 4. Nero's projectile slash from the Yamato (perhaps on par or stronger than when Dante used it since Nero was able to repair it and it resonated with him) doesn't go through entire buildings as it should if it's slicing power were essentially infinite. Dante had to use bullets to force it through a weakpoint after he jams it in as opposed to just going through with a poke, showing there's resistance. Sanctus outright blocks a projectile slash from Nero's Yamato both with his hand and with his own projectile which terminates in an explosion but leaves the environment intact. Urizen uses the sword to make a shield which can be broken. There's a lot contradicting it's ability to cut through anything. Vergil also never uses the ability to make portals itself as an attack or he would have done so against Dante. He likely doesn't do it because he can't or it just wouldn't be effective compared to using the projectiles yamato has or just using the sword itself directly.

Bayonetta had powers before meeting Butterfly. It's a requirement in order to even attempt a contract. They have to be proficient in their abilities or they can't really make a contract. This video also had Dante be immortal when no such thing is ever established in the series and implied Bayonetta could only take the same damage as a normal person could, which is blatantly false. See 10:12 to 10:30 for some examples.

Omg I went to name him but I seem to have forgotten his name. He was an amazing asset to DB As I type this is came to me TORIAN!!

I really enjoyed the Ryu/Jin fight, but even after all these years I think this may possibly be the best Death Battle ever made. The action transitions are so smooth even a few of the quick weapon switches by Dante were so flawless they’re easy to miss if you aren’t paying close attention.

Let’s face it, they ever met, it would go from being a game to a doujinshi very fast

I think it’s hilarious how in most death battles, if just one of the fighters speaks up, they can avoid a fight. For example, if Dante just tells bayonetta that he HUNTS demons while being part demon himself, there would be a chance that they would decide not to fight. I don’t know why, I just find it really funny.

To the Bayo fans out there that are still trying to respectfully debate their points, I respect you. I may disagree with you at times, but I still respect you. Obviously with this being an anonymous comment section people are going to engage each other in a pretty juvenile fashion at times(both Bayo and DMC fans are doing this, I am definitely not going to pretend the DMC fandom I am a part of is not also contributing to this, it's unfortunately the nature of fandoms), but for the love of all that is holy could we stop with all the "Poisoning the Well" fallacy posts. It's very basal manipulation that is easily seen through by those familiar with logical fallacies, I am especially noticing this more and more from Bayo fans lately(Fellow DMC fans, if you're doing this, I'd advise stopping it as well). Debate with clear logical points, but don't propagate fallacies such as this one, as it only serves to undermine your own credibility and your own fandom's credibility in the eyes of others as it shows that you are unable to present solid evidence to support your opinion and instead have to rely on manipulating a narrative around your opposition.

Why do people have this misconception about Bayonetta have a strong enough regen skill to counter Dante’s abilities? Every game shows that she has a limit. Especially the third one that shows if she takes too much damage she’ll fall. Dante has yet to show his limit.

If this was his limit as you say it was then he wouldn’t have survived for a whole month. He would’ve withered away without any sort of sustenance. There’s a correct way to analyze a scene and I don’t think you’re doing it correctly. Just out of curiosity did you even play any of the games? Cause this is the type of response that comes from someone who didn’t play the games but just looked up the scenes without any context.

To be fair, he *did* have his Majin form from DMC2 (and, technically, also from the DMC3 prequel manga). He just didn't use it in this fight. Which is just as likely. As it would have made his fight one-sided.

Once more, to the Bayo fans that are respectfully debating their points, you're the real ones. Regardless of whether or not I agree with you, you guys are the real Bayo fans that reflect well on your community. I do not attribute the statements of what I suspect to be one Bayo fan/troll using alt accounts to your fandom, I genuinely think it is just one sad, hollow individual that for whatever reason has experienced some measure of PTSD from watching this video to the point where they are now flagrantly falsifying statements attributed to the Death Battle cast. They have not provided any verification for these claims that they would be able to provide in a KZread comment, and on top of that viewing the membership tab of this channel Death Battle archives Battles they have officially revisited/revised the outcome of, there is no record whatsoever of them officially revising/revisiting this Death Battle there, despite their archive going back approx over a year and a half ago and this person claiming that DB has in fact officially revised the outcome of this battle. I am still waiting for my own Discord Access to be available so at the moment I am not able to definitively verify the Discord server claims, however due to the person not providing any verification for the claims that would be easy to verify by someone with Discord access I am inclined to believe that they are in fact lying. Which reflects even worse upon them, but in my eyes not upon your community as a whole. It genuinely appears as if this person is trying as many different approaches as possible to "Poison the Well" on a 7 year old video, their continued mistake is that every approach they make is so obviously a fabrication of theirs. Edit: I have Discord access and have been able to confirm that NOT A SINGLE MEMBER OF THE DB CAST in the Discord has made ANY statement regarding this Death Battle. @@ammynaten8392 She can't summon Queen Sheba on her own. The only times she has shown the ability to summon Queen Sheba is when she combines her summoning powers with someone else. As such she cannot use that summon in a one on one battle.

These guys must have upgraded their rigs or modeling software. The 3d models looks pretty nice.

+Aoru Well they are part of Rooster Teeth now. Compare the first episodes of RWBY to the latest episodes. I'm guessing whatever changes they made there are being carried over to Death Battle.

+Chuksie Abani environment too, but the rigging/animation/choreography is still quite a step up. Not enough to compete with AAA studios, but still worlds beyond what you'd think a you-tube channel could produce in any reasonable amount of time. +Enigma1788 that would explain it. Had no idea they are part of RT now.

+GrandRiser When, at the start of the battle, Bayonetta locked her thighs around Dante and they had a small shoot out fest - it's the same footage from the 1st time when Dante fought with Nero in DMC4.

This is easily my most favorite death battle yet. All of the action was just amazing, I can't think of anything to improve on

Dante not giving a damn about the sword in his chest is the funniest thing ever

The dialogue is so on point with their personalities in this, the choreography is astounding, the music is fitting, the abilities are so smooth when they use them, the camera angles are superb, and even the models look decent. So why do they keep using pixel characters XD lol

Good question ^^ because it's just fantastic I know, but to make something like this from scratch is a lot of work I imagine... The point was to show the battle's likely outcome, and I'd say they did more than okay ^^

I'd be surprised if they actually do a rematch with these characters with the new upgrades with dante from devil may cry 5 and Bayonetta from Bayonetta 3. This would definitely be the ultimate test between these characters going fully all-in in their fight.

This was a great year for them

This is the first Death Battle I've ever watched and I've been hooked ever since.

Now that DMC 5 and bayonetta 3 are released, can we have a rematch with the new power ups? Sin devil trigger Vs demon slave and demon masquerade

We’re (the players of Bayo 3) aren’t sure if Bayo 3 is Little Cereza or the Bayonetta we met in 1 or 2. We also don’t know if Bayo 1&2 take place in different universes.

@@Gemini053 yes we are lmao, Cereza in 3 is from an alternate universe from 1 and 2 (which are also separate, apparently) but Bayonetta 2's character description states that her history is extremely similar to Bayonetta 3's Cereza, meaning that all her feats should apply regardless

You know the most expensive "house"(its a 2 billion dollar skyscraper) is in india and has a entire temple build in. No small cathedral a temple statues and all. So its not to unrealistic

Well… Now this needs a remaster for Bayonetta 3. I would say that the two are on roughly equal footing now power-wise. It’s been confirmed that Bayonetta can get stabbed through the chest and recover, and summon demons the size of skyscrapers with her Sin Ritual. While the Sin demons probably aren’t outside Dante’s ability to handle, they would definitely give him some trouble.

The problem I find with some sin devil that bayonetta can summon are for the most part big a slow which is a bad match up against sin devil dante and if use judgment rip but I doubt he would want to take a nuke plus black hole to the face

Diomedes can slice very fast in 2 to where the enemies move in slow motion. The demons fight each other often, so I don't think speed is much of an issue. Besides, it would not make sense for Bayonetta to use summons if they are less capable than her. *" if use judgment rip"* You gotta prove this would work instantly. *"but I doubt he would want to take a nuke plus black hole to the face"* huh?

@@ghostgunace the biggest problem with bayonetta is that all the stuff you talk. All her strongest feats are because she uses demons. Key word demons and what dante again oh yeah a demon slayer for hired. He fought against demons from every different layers of hell which in itself is different hells from different multiversus including hell monster that look and fight very similar to bayonetta summons which dante has killed many times as a job. And his power is the very rule of all sparta aka the strongest demon and the former of all layers of hell. What I'm trying to say is summon demons to attack a demon king that has counters and specializes in killing demons won't be a good idea. Which just leaves bayonetta herself and yeah. Also SDT can also create black hole attacks and judgment is a very quick aoe sword attack that cuts through dimensions like vergil sword oh yeah dante can use that to.

That's because she's very strong. The demons in DMC and the demons in Bayonetta are not the same. Dante is not going to take on the likes of Trigon or Dormammu just because they may be considered demons. It's not like Vergil actually uses portals themselves to attack either, likely because he can't or it's not how the sword works.

Dante, and easily. A lot of it comes down to how well they avoid taking damage and how well they can take it, as both have access to offensive tools that are utterly insane. And the long and short of it is that Dante takes hits vastly better than Bayonetta, while also being better equip to avoid hits. Witch Time is quicksilver-lite. Bayonetta has no real comparison to Trickster's teleportation, and Royal Guard is a feature they both share but Bayonetta has to go out of her way to choose to bring it to combat while Dante simply always has it. Dante's health regeneration and endurance is also shown to be much higher. Between those two factors, it doesn't really matter so much what Bayonetta brings to the table, Dante's both more mobile and more durable. Bayonetta's slower attacks aren't liable to even hit, and her faster attacks have to contend with Dante's regeneration and endurance if they do hit. Meanwhile Dante's attacks are hitting a much softer target. Bayonetta also tends to have to actually go through the motions for many of her stronger attacks in ways where evasion isn't easy. Given Dante can freely teleport, a lot of her abilities removing her attire, and DSD being what it is, it's really easy for Dante to win simply by warping up to her and stabbing her. Dante in DMC 3 was able to enter Witch Time using his "QuickSilver" Style. The sounds of engaging and disengaging the time stop are the exact same between Dante and Bayonetta. However, Bayonetta can enter Witch Time using a master-crafted amulet forged by extremely powerful beings, wherein Dante can enter Witch Time by snapping his fingers and using his own demonic power. Not only can Dante start and stop the ability to freeze time whenever he wants, but his time freeze lasts longer and slows down the world around him even moreso than Bayonetta's. The very idea of an Umbral witch is a mortal that channels energy from a powerful demon that "lends" them power, Bayonetta's power bank is "Madame Butterfly" who is evidently as powerful as Sparda (She might even be Sparda's Sister). So the strongest Bayonetta could ever be is on-par with the extreme power of Madame Butterfly. The thing is, Dante has surpassed Sparda's power long ago when he first defeated Mundus, and then proceeded to follow him into the underworld and destroy him forever. He's only been getting stronger since (SDT is just another exponential power spike even beyond that). So the way I see it, Dante could overpower even the strongest demons Bayonetta's ever seen before and he is the primary source of the energy he uses. I'm gonna have to believe Bayonetta wouldn't be able to stand against Dante. She's a mere mortal that relies too much on arcane artifacts and borrowed energy.

Actually crazy the amount of misinformation about Bayonetta I see in these comments. Witch Time, for example, is actually just straight up better than QuickSilver. Bayonetta can enter Witch Time whenever she wants (she doesn't need to use an amulet, you're misattributing one of her accessories to her regular powers), she can stack multiple layers of it, and it actually lasts longer than Quicksilver--she's straight up used it for 8+ minutes in cutscenes and scripted gameplay segments. Bayonetta has legit fought entire battles in less than a second in real time. Quicksilver is legit a Witch Time-lite. Like, seriously, her Witch Time ability is the one thing that you can forsure is better than Dante's equivalent.

@@MrMorpheusEthereal Dante cannot actually use Quicksilver for as long as he wants, there is no lore or cutscenes that supports that. And Bayonetta can use Witch Time without an amulet, Witch Time is an innate power that all witches can use. It's actually crazy that you're saying this so confidently, it's almost baffling. I don't even know how to source it without just saying play the game, or just watch any scene where she uses Witch Time. She doesn't require or use an amulet in any cutscenes or lore. The amulet you are talking about, the "Bracelet of Time", is a separate accessory, that you don't even unlock until you beat the game under specific circumstances. But I guess the most specific source I can provide, is Antonio's Notes, found in-game, entry "Notes On The Topic Of Magic - I", where he speaks on Witch Time being an ability that Umbra Witches have. This is legit like saying Dante can't use his powers without equipping the Rebellion; it's so blatantly untrue and just an odd statement, that you would know is false by simply playing any of the games.
