The black watermelon, or Densuke watermelon, is a variety of watermelon originating from Japan, and is only grown in the town of Toma on the island of Hokkaido. Each fruit typically weighs between 5-7 kg and has a black rind without stripes. Additionally, its flesh is deep red and has a distinctively sweet taste compared to other types of watermelons on the market.
