You could do the same shit in Odyssey and Valhalla, so what's the problem now? Hell there are a multitude of RPG games that let you have sex with the same gender. This kind of stuff is just part of RPG games, like why not be able to choose these kinds of things about your character. If you want Yasuke to be gay, go for it. If you want him to be straight, then choose a woman. I'm sure the same can be said for Naoe and it will work similarly to Dragon Age: Inquisition. Y'all need to grow up and realize that being gay wasn't created yesterday.

The supporters are like "Nioh is a white man and no one blah blah blah" Dude, Nioh is based on William Adams who has more historical records about him and his contributions while living in Japan for 20 years. Yasuke is only a blip in history and he's only popular because of his tokenism. Little was recorded about him and he was supposed to be some sort of historical figure.

Yasuke did in fact exist. Although his role in history is small. The issue here is, instead of using real Japanese characters, they opted for a relatively unknown historical figure just because he fits the woke culture. Direspecting Japan by not using a Japanese figure to represent their history.

He have been asking for a japanese assassins creed since the days of Ezio Auditore. You would believe they would step up their game after the monsters that were ghost of tsushima, nioh and sekiro and they show this? I hope this flops……badly.

Im not a pro historian, but i know what i know. 1st - Yasuke had neither the time nor the opportunity to become a samurai. After all, one starts on this path as a child - at the age of 5 or so. That is MINIMUM 10 years of training. But it is also true that for the amusement of the spectators, the Japanese dressed Yasuke in samurai armor, gave him a katana and forced him to do blows with it from different stances. But that's all. This did not make him a samurai. 2nd - Fortunately or unfortunately, Japan had “male romance” since ancient times and no one really tryed to hide it. 3rd - I advise you to find out who exactly Ubisoft hired as a historical consultant regarding Japan during the time when the game takes place. I'll give a little hint - She also specializes in "male romance" of ancient Japan.

He was first european samurai if i remember it correctly. And what Yasuke did? Hold Nobunaga's umbrella? Played roles in performances for the amusement of the audience?

Yasuke was an unnamed slave purchased from Jesuit missionaries. Oda Nobunaga named him Yasuke which just means "black one", and kept him as kind of a pet.
