Went on this like five times (dragged my parents on it) they got so mad when it got stuck upside down. It was so funny 😂

We had one in the USA at the 1982 Worlds Fair in Knoxville,TN. It was called Peter Pan but was a Weber Traumboot. I rode it many times! Most certainly my favorite non roller coaster ride! I will say it’s restraint system was a tad uncomfortable 😆

This ride was called the Mary Rose at Dreamland Margate for years in the 90's and when I was little I nearly slipped through and had to be held in but it still was my favorite ride and made me love theme parks forevermore - I do love flats but coasters are cool too

This was my favourite ride as a kid, it was called the Mary Rose and was situated in Bembom brothers in Margate, brought back so many great memories this video! Thank you!! Great times. We are thinking of travelling all the way to Yorkshire just so we can go on it again! X

I went in 2018. I still remember the feeling in my heart - it was as if my heart went on a run and I was ascending to the sky at the same time. all of ur screaming made the experience so much better, I remember shouting "STOP SCREAMIN', THE RIDE ISN'T EVEN STARTED" only to just start screaming myself. Good times

This had me absolutely crying with laughter. Great video!

Not gonna lie, the first time I had a chance to go on this, I backed out and watched my dad have the time of his life on it, then I decided to go on it with him and was scared shirtless, but it was an amazing ride, I would highly recommend this ride

Although it was said to have gone to Budapest, this is the mary rose from the bembom brothers white knuckle theme park (dreamland margate). I have no clue why it was relocated here but never recorded, or why nobody ever really knew where it went. Every detail on the ship is the same (the 8 sails each with a white cross on, the bars on the roof , the bar placement on the roof, every little detail is the same! Even the backdrop is identical, same shape and everything) This was my mum’s favourite ride. It’s truly amazing to see her still in use, even 30 or so years later. I can’t believe she’s still going. My mum cried a bit when i showed her this because she was distraught when it was taken away. We just wished we knew for sure what/why it was never known what happened to it. My mum’s other 2 favourite rides were the looping star and the ladybird, i think my mum still wishes she knew what happened to those.

I was looking at one day going to Africa to ride the looping star again. I loved benbom brothers. I know heatwave is in a deserted theme park in.the North of the UK

Little known fact: This exact ride operated at Alton Towers in the 1983 season under the name of "Space Boat". It was removed in 1984 and replaced with "Octopus". Its time at Alton was so brief it doesn't even feature in any publicity material from the time.

This ride came from BemBom Brothers, Margate were it was named "Mary Rose"......in 1993 after the park was in decline it was dismantled and sold /transported to this Park and re-named "Black Pearl", its all on Wikipedia, and as commented many times below

Always wandered what happened to the Mary rose. Dreamland was a descent park when I went in th mid eighties and remember riding this and the looping star 😊

I went to margate yesterday to discover its gone lol. I went on it years ago and hated it too... anything that goes round is hell.. gimme rollercoasters anyday

Its a 100% defo never for me, I couldn't do that tbh. But well done for yourself experiencing it. Looks intense lol. Cheers for another video. 😀👍

My granddad made me go on this in the 80's when I was about 10 and it was at Margate. I nearly crapped myself. Never been on anything like it since.

this just brought back terrible memories. also, if you are going on this, close your eyes and clench them. honestly, it helps alot. the feeling of not being able to see on this ride eliminates the feeling of being upside down. the only thing you can feel that makes you think you are upside down is your hair sticking up. honestly, it is really fun though.

I remember when I first saw my Dad go on the ride, There was a Sword Top on the top.

When I went on this I was just getting over my fear of roller coasters and it want as scary as I thought but I screamed in my friends ear on purpose cause I’m nice :)

This ride looks so cool also rides that go upside down are scary (I've been on a Upside down ride)

Sure they had one similar at Barry island pleasure park back in the 80s - 90s and it had no bars at the top! So much for health and safety 😂

This used to be called 'the tempest' and was at pleasure Wood hills in Suffolk. Used to go on when I was a kid with my sister. Crazy ride. Thought it was decomissioned.

This ride was called the Mary rose back then. I went on the vacant end seat. That was the last available seat. It was almost murder.

I’m off on that tommorow, last time I screamed to get of and they actually let me off . Just look at those kiddy ships in the background

The outside view of this ride is impressive but it’s kind of painful from the inside.

Can any of y’all tell by the guys voice that he seems loving? When he says oh my God like he does softly the first time. I am high functioning autistic and I am not gay but I get so easily drawn into the way he says it the first time

I made a horrible mistake not going going on this it’s because I went to the ultimate before and that was holding me back

Sad thing is this got removed I never got to ride it at the time cuz of covid

when i went on this i felt like i was falling out

I went on this when I was 8/9 by myself and when I was 9 I went on the Pepsi’s max at Blackpool by myself :)

Ah ok. I thought that because Tower of Tower ended up at Loudoun Castle and there was a Bembom Brothers connection, it might have been the same one. Does anyone know what happened to the Excalibur that was at Camelot? @@Coaster_Crazy

My uncle is the same age as my sister so they decided to go on together and my uncle was terrified so the person made them think they were stuck upsidedown for (what must have felt like) ages (not for so long or they would have died) and my uncle never went on it again
