Black Ops Zombies - Marlton Teaches You About Guns
Ойындар
As per a suggestion on my Black Ops 2 Pack a Punch quotes video, I decided to make a video showing off lines that can be heard from Marlton when picking up weapons in Black Ops 2 and Black Ops 4.
All footage used was recorded and edited together by myself.

Thunder does make sense. It's loud like thunder. Thunder isn't electric. It's just the sound that lightning makes
@CobRaM4tRIX
8 ай бұрын
@@regilad_9043 Saying "thunder is a soundwave" just means that it's a sound.. Which of course it is but "thunder = sound" isn't what causes thunder. In that same light, basically any gun making a sound would be fit to be called a thundergun with that logic, even if it's not *shooting* a soundwave. Thunder is a sound most recently believed to be made by a shock wave in the air caused by the expansion of plasma. Or simply put: lightning rapidly heats the air it passes through, expanding it, hitting the air at a speed faster than the sound = shockwave = "thunder" As far as "thunder" goes it's ultimately the sound made when air moves through air faster than sound. Especially given that we don't know how the thundergun actually works (for all we know it's heating and ionizing gas in a pressurized chamber to set it off at the pull of a trigger rather than just... simply blasting air out really strongly) there isn't a reason to believe that "thundergun" is an inaccurate name for a gun that is essentially a mechanical recreation of what causes the sound known as "thunder"

Love how respectful marlton had gotten with the FAL after tranzit, a good gun is a good gun.
And people say they hate Marlton. I can respect a gun nut, plus it's nice hearing some fun facts about the weapons I'm weilding.
he should be a history teacher
Just goes to show how much love was poured in BO2, despite most gun models being altered in some way they still used real names and mostly real guns and this plays out really well here for example Marlton stating that the FAL was first designed in 1947 (though it was on 1946 but close enough) or how the in game Saiga 12 is called "S12" but he still calls it Saiga 12 or how he says that the Colt Python is described by many experts as "the finest production revolver ever made" and that's true. It's details like these that can make or break a game for me and it's sad that the newer CODS cheapen out of using real gun names just to save a few bucks and we'll never get something like this or something like BF1's Gun Encyclopedia. (and no, not using real gun names has nothing to do with that California law because XDefiant has a lot of real guns with their real names on there and Ubisoft's HQ is in San Francisco, this is just Activision being cheap)
@Glenn_Quagmire

Marlton gushing over about the M1216 is the reason why I try to get to play as him. I love that gun.

4:08 The Five-SeveN is chambered in 5.7x28, not 5.7x27. 4:36 The Taurus Raging Judge is chambered in 28 gauge, not .410, the clip right after even fixes this. And several times he says "clip" lol
Thanks for compiling all these! From what I've seen in the BO2 files, the Victis maps are the only ones that have weapon specific quotes attached to them, unlike MOTD or Origins where they are weapon-type based. Really shows that they went the extra mile with some of these quotes 👌

I’ve studied guns my entire life and I can confidently say he’s trying his absolute hardest to sound smart well at the same time getting so much wrong, for example, a large majority of the military issued FALs have select fire capabilities
@Tman2bard
8 ай бұрын
The main issue is he's talking about guns in the context of the game. So the FAL getting a lot of shit was something of a meme in game at one point, and it's only Semi auto there as well. If he kept it real world accurate, then they wouldn't like up to the actual gameplay.
@jackk8707
8 ай бұрын
@ZoomerStasiWhile that’s true for the British L1A1 and a few other nations, other countries like Austria with its StG 58 adopted it with the original full auto capability. Plenty of militaries ran it in that configuration.
@jackk8707
8 ай бұрын
@ZoomerStasi That’s patently untrue, the gun was originally designed to be select fire. Obviously the Brits and the Commonwealth nations adopted a semi auto only version, but the original design and a few other countries’ adoptions of the FAL were full auto. It wasn’t very controllable, and it wasn’t ideal, but it did exist. I don’t know how you can say “it didn’t exist” but also “the ones that did exist were entirely different rifles.” Yeah, it’s a slightly different variant but they’re all types of FAL. It’s ridiculous to say that “military issue FALs didn’t have select fire” like you did in your first comment unless you’re gonna specify a specific country like the Brits.
@jackk8707
8 ай бұрын
@ZoomerStasi A) the original FAL WAS select fire. Making it semi auto only was a modification after the fact. B) A swap between full auto and semi is not such a drastic change that both rifles can’t be called FALs. They’re the same root design with a different fire mode. This level of pedantry is ridiculous, if I have a semi automatic DDM4 Mk 18 and a military contract full auto Mk 18, they’re almost identical. Yes, ones FA, but they’re both AR pattern rifles. If you wanted to make your strawman argument about the DP-28 and RPD better you could’ve mentioned the RP-46 which actually is a belt fed DP, rather than an entirely different firearm. SAO vs FA FALs are just a few minor changes (which as I already said were full auto originally and not the other way around), I don’t know why in your eyes that makes them as different as an RPD and a DP-28. I’ve made my point clear, it’s all easily found online, and it’s obvious you’re stuck in whatever semantic hole you’ve dug yourself into. At least anyone else reading this will be able to clearly see what the facts of the matter are.

Bullpup design puts the magazine behind the grip, essentially in the stock of the gun. This makes it so all the mechanism is in the back half of the gun, allowing for more barrel length without making the gun longer.
I love how this man is supposedly a bit of gun nerd, and then talks about changing clips with a belt fed machine gun. If it was a magazine, I'd at least kind of understand it, because a lot of people call it a clip, but my man didn't even do that
