"Son Goku" is the Chinese name "Sun WuKong" in Japanese. So the monkey king should be name "Sun WuKong", not Guko. And according to the information, the monkey in this game is NOT the WuKong.

There are myths that the real Sun Wukong was killed and replaced by 6 eared macaque during the journey. May be this is the real Wukong and this game is about his vengeance

They're magic cymbals...used by that fake Buddha (the guy at the end) to trap Sun inside them...at least that's how it was in the novel.

7:00 I live in tropical country so I'm not sure, but I heard somewhere that the snow reflect the sunlight more than most other enviroments, so I think it make more sense that on a frozen lake under the sun, you get that kind of blinding light?

for none native Chinese speaker, there are three meaning of that yellow robe guy said (10:46): 既见未来，为何不拜？these words could be translate to: why dont you kneel and worship since you are seeing future? 1、he is Maitreya Buddha who is the buddha of future, so Wukong is actually seeing future when he meet him, it is time to kneel. (there is also someone says yellow robe guy is fake Maitreya buddha, because Maitreya Buddha would never say such dark words to aganist Buddha) 2、these words are also message to players: your are seeing future game, it is time to kneel and worship. 3、拜 means kneel and worship in Chinese, it also sounds like "buy", it means you are seeing the game of future, it is time to buy!

That guy is confirmed to be the demonic imposter of Budhha. The bird dude made it clear (he said he was the Earth God of the Lesser Western Paradise -- which is a demonic copy of the actual Western Paradise; we actually saw the real Earth God in the first trailer: the old dude that appeared from the ground, before Monkey fights the giant wolf boss.)

@@natn41r N, he called himself "little/ lesser" because it was a humble form of speech in his classical Chinese ritual greeting to the Monkey King. There are tons of earth gods (mostly taking the form of old men & women), basically the spirits of a particular location, charged of protecting the area.

So hyped for this . With the Chinese in this game , I hope you react to the Lost Soul Aside trailer on IGN from 3 months ago . It looks pretty damn good looking . Still has a bit to go before it releases but it's nearly finished . It's nearly like been a 10 year project from a Chinese KZreadr that uploaded a clip they made from Unreal engine. Then weeks later if I'm not mistaken he's had a bunch of deals when people saw his trailer of his game he was making solo , couple years later down the line PlayStation offered to sponsor for the game and help publish it . Looks like it might have an awesome story as well.

The smaller channels definitely benefit off networking and supporting each other so just an idea! Challenge runs are a great way to milk more content and enjoyment out of games too! I highly recommend some SL1 runs! They make the series feel fresh 😁

@@JamesLovesGames Honestly drinking and SL1 are not the greatest combo hahaha 😂 I have seen it done and it can be entertaining so your call. If you ever needed help just let me know I've done it all. Would love to see you take it on though sometime 😋 Maybe do Demon's Souls, Dark Souls 1, 2, and 3, as well as Bloodborne. If I could say anything though, don't look up how it should be done because it ruins the magic of it. It gives you chance to experience the series again like its your first time and you only get one time you know?

Sry to mention that the character’s name sun goku is an obvious mistake.

Right. As I mentioned, Son Gokuu is the character's name in Japanese, which is how I learned about him, hence why I use that one.

I guess Shi fu is in the dark side in this game😢 In the original story Shi fu is the most kind person in the world.

might be a tiny spoiler but the voice that narrates the game seems to be commenting on the 4 man gang which includes the monk, so presumably it should be someone else. There's a theory that it's the fake buddha the gang came across halfway through the novel

I was referring to the Japanese pronunciation of his name (孫悟空 = Son Gokuu), since I learned a lot of tales about him from Japanese books.

The devs said they took inspiration from sekiro so expect this to be difficult as hell.
