I watch this once a week minimum. 50 years' worth of playing guitar that, for whatever reason, on this particular day at KEXP, chose to flow out of Stephen in one of (if not THE) most transcendent performances I've ever seen. Something happened in that studio on that day.

This is what space rock is supposed to sound like.

Man these guys are freakin talented musicians, To me this is in the "food for the soul" category. Don't need bud,meth, or eanything at all, they send your sober mind off to space, that's how good they are. I saw them once live, and when Skywalker started his solo, it felt like the world was going to collapse around us. And he just wouldn't stop, he might as well summoned demons while he was at it .. Unbelievable how good!

The world would be a less good place without KEXP. Black Mountain tore this and me to shreds.

Saw them at a festival last summer. They were chilling in the crowd right behind me during the set before them. But when they played they blew everyone out of the water particularly with this song.

FriendlyWalker same story when I saw them. The guitar player was drinking with me at the bar. Listening to the opening act. Walking around. Then they got on stage and killed it. My friend handed him a weed vape pen and he hit it like 3 times in a row during a song then busted out a sick guitar solo. I can’t wait to see this band again. I

No. They'll just still do it to Floyd. Floyd is timeless. This is good, but derivative. Floyd will be listened to always, Black Mountain won't.

Went looking for Black Mountain by Winnebago (great tune by the way) and ended up here...how lucky am I? This nectar is both inspirational and uplifting in equal measure...an absolute treat for all the senses. Greetings and thanks from Scotland.

Seem like somebody mixed Pink Floyd and Jefferson Airplaine. Beautiful voice of this girl and the guitar of the dude with the Black Flag shirt is awesome! Reminds me David Gilmour when he was young.

Grew up on all the best of the 60s and 70s - still smokin and likin these guys.

The guitar solo at the end reminds me of that bit in the long version of Blinded by the Light by Manfred Mann

Have had the pleasure of seeing them live a bunch of times. Happy to report that this same vibe translates - if not better - to the live show. Just such a fantastic piece of music. My all time fav BM song. I play it at parties for anyone that wants to listen constantly.

this song is one long, beautiful guitar solo, and some mighty fine bass work too. I just wish they would produce more work that has this sound.

That's impossible my friend, imagine a "Time part 2" from the dark side of the moon, a "Epitaph, the second" or a "Rajaz once again". This kind of masterpieces can be done just once.

I return to this video every month or so to get my fix. Then go about my life. Lately tho' the adverts breaking up the song have got too much. I have to listen on my ipod. Thanks KZread.
