Lovely demo Thanks
Looks awesome! Can't wait to give it a go!
Could you please advice on all the different types of paints I can use on my new Strathmore Mixed Medium Black 400? Please mention other brands of paints for beginners like me. Thank you so much.
184lb paper, holy that’s a heavy piece of paper 😉
How archival is this paper? Will the “black” fade over time?

The lignin has been removed from this paper, categorizing it as acid free. We also do not add Optical Brightener Additives (OBA's) to enhance the color, which helps stabilize the sheet and improve lightfastness. Acid and other environmental factors will have the biggest influence on whether or not the black will fade over time. As long as it is not exposed to direct sunlight, fading will be very limited. It also helps to frame pieces behind conservation glass. As long as harsh materials that contain acid aren't being used on the paper and it isn't exposed to unusual conditions, you will see little to no fading. Here is an article on colored art papers and their fade-resistance that you might find helpful: www.strathmoreartist.com/faq-full/if-colored-art-paper-is-acid-free-is-it-also-fade-resistant.html

Strathmore Artist Papers Thanks so much for answering. I am now going to purchase some based on your information 🙂
Super art tips
Can you use the back side of the black paper just as you would the front?
@strathmoreart

Yes, you can use both sides of the sheet. The front side texture may be slightly different because of the felt pattern that was imparted on the top during the paper-making process. However, the working properties of the sheet will be the same on both sides.
