Script:
I recently discovered something startling about myself. It turns out that I’m a racist, sexist, misogynist. This came as quite a shock to me. How did this happen? As a person of color, a single woman with a graduate degree who grew up poor in a home without a father, I had a clear political path to follow.
And I followed it.
I voted for Barack Obama…twice. After all, we share the same skin color. His father was from Africa. Mine was, too! What other reasons did I need?
I was inspired to see a black man rise to the highest office in the land. I believed his ascent would herald a new beginning, a new era of racial healing and harmony. We would finally have that frank discussion about race that everyone always talks about.
I was also inspired by his wife. I was thrilled to see such a strong, opinionated black woman take the national stage. But then something happened… actually, several somethings.
I realized there was a big contradiction in my own life. I considered myself a free-thinker, but I was thinking exactly what I was supposed to. I decided to start asking questions. I belonged to several campus feminist groups. I was even teaching feminism to inner-city girls. Part of that teaching involved making the case for abortion. These girls needed to know that they had the right to make decisions about their own bodies. Surely, I thought, that’s empowerment. But one day I asked myself: Isn’t it men who benefit most from consequence-free sex? Doesn’t that give them even more power over women? And, of course, abortion certainly doesn’t empower the women it prevents from ever being born.
When I began to ask my other feminist friends how they reconciled these issues, they just got angry. I was called anti-woman. Even by progressive men! “But I’m not anti-woman,” I thought. “I am a woman!” I just don’t want to be a weak one. I want to be strong - like Michelle.
At about the same time, while I was a student at the University of Texas at Dallas, the UT Austin Department of African Diaspora Studies released a statement in which they said, and I quote, “African Americans are disproportionately affected by the saturation of our society by firearms … We demand that firearms be banned in all spaces occupied by black people on our campus.”

In college, every time I speak about my political views, people take my words out of context to use them against me. Where the hell did you hear that? Leftists are people who lean towards socialism. Liberals originally were people who opposed government oppression but they have been taken over by leftists creating their own oppression. Now leftist and Liberal mean the same thing. Right winger refer to people who side with the founding principle of their country, so In country's that have justice as their main goal it is impossible to be a right winger because how can you be too much in favor of justice? Anti minority Bigots are not right wingers. They are just bigots. They are the opposite of Liberals even so far as Liberals are anti- majority bigots. This makes Conservatives the moderates because they believe in equality of all races and oppose government oppression of both extremes. Libertarians are non-leftist liberals or true Conservatives as some Conservatives ( Neocons) are mostly Conservative but have no problem going to war at the drop of a hat and side with national security over individual rights when given the choice. Liberals (leftists) favor war just as much as neocons but only when they are in power. When they are out of power they suddenly oppose any war, even if it is a just war.

agreed, I lost all my friends because of my Right Wing Views, all my friends were left leaning (we live in the UK so it's not so clear as american politics). They were pro-EU, I was Pro-British so I voted leave, they are globalists and "humanists", I am a nationalist and a humanist because compared to a dog or a person, I go for the person. They are secularists, I am one too but I support Religious freedoms, they are PC, I am Pro-Free Speech. In the UK, The Labour Party are the Left Socialists, the Conservatives are the Right Wing, but I do not support either side, I don't support the Centre Wing Liberal Democrats either, only options to vote for was those with similar views to mine and that was UKIP, I don't support UKIP but I was not going to waste my right to vote by not voting so. I am a self-proclaimed Nationalist with Mild Meritocracy views, Anti-Political Correct, Anti-EU and Semi-Pro-Life (depends on certain circumstances, I hope you understand). I Believe in Individualism and Individual Rights, of course, being who I am in a very Left Wing Country, people like me are not welcome and apparently all fascists. My brother calls me a dictator because of my views which I actually have written down on my party website, it's up to people what they want to think but I don't think I am a dictator if I believe in limited government oversight and individual rights and Free Speech.

Chris Landy let's put it this way. do you think it is okay to kill a child? Obviously you don't. What makes a child in a womb any different? saying it is okay to abort a child is like saying a mother is allowed to kill her 13 year old son because he has become a burden. Maybe you can't raise the child financially but when it is born, take it up for adoption, i believe unless there is solid evidence that you have been raped or there is a chance a mother can die during child birth, abortion should not be different to murder. I understand there are certain circumstances but aborting for the sake of it is wrong, don't want a kid? Don't have sex without protection, worried about the condom being faulty, don't have sex at all

If abortion were legal then every woman could easily choose to refuse to actually do it, except maybe in rare special cases (rape, severe medical problems, blah blah blah). She could do that now, and presumably has already been doing it. Yet she is explicitly arguing in favor of giving up this control over her own life to the government, in one of the major planks of her pro-freedom platform. You are a fool.

There are many things that you have no freedom to do regardless if you see them as beneficial to you. Example I can’t just kill Bernie Sanders supporters despite that it would be a big help to me personally. The same as you can’t just kill a baby because it’s better for you. If we can’t cone together and agree that murder is wrong there is no common ground. My grandfather the most racist man I’ve ever know, and had a 5th grade education, but was horrified when he learned about the numbers of black babies being aborted. He hated black people, but knew killing their babies was wrong. If he could figure out that abortion of anyone including people he despised was wrong then it can’t be that hard to figure out.

You mean me? I wasn't arguing in favor of abortion. Everything I said is fully compatible with an absolute hatred for and rejection of abortion. ROGER wanted to pretend that when conservatives fight for stronger government control over individuals, they are actually promoting individuals' self-control, and I objected to that. Abortion itself is beside the point. I can respond easily to John H, but it'd take too many minutes out of my life and he might not even read the response, let alone sincerely listen to what I might say. There isn't much point in doing that. People aren't generally here to actually understand anything. We're mainly here (me included) to vent our emotions like stupid animals, which is what we are.

@@notinfraction9922 do you seriously think that MLK was a conservative, or even a moderate? Do you not remember this quote: "First, I must confess that over the last few years I have been gravely disappointed with the white moderate. I have almost reached the regrettable conclusion that the Negro's great stumbling block in the stride toward freedom is not the White Citizen's Council-er or the Ku Klux Klanner, but the white moderate who is more devoted to "order" than to justice; who prefers a negative peace which is the absence of tension to a positive peace which is the presence of justice; who constantly says "I agree with you in the goal you seek, but I can't agree with your methods of direct action;" who paternalistically feels he can set the timetable for another man's freedom; who lives by the myth of time and who constantly advises the Negro to wait until a "more convenient season." Shallow understanding from people of goodwill is more frustrating than absolute misunderstanding from people of ill will. Lukewarm acceptance is much more bewildering than outright rejection." MLK wrote "I am much more socialistic in my economic theory than capitalistic... [capitalism] out-lived it's usefulnes", saying it had "brought about a system that takes necessities from the masses to give luxuries to the classes." Or what about this quote "Let us continue to hope, work, and pray that in the future we will live to see a warless world, a better distribution of wealth, and a brotherhood that transcends race or color…This is the gospel that I will preach to the world.” \ MLK knew that racial injustice cannot be corrected without also correcting economic injustice.

Kyra Bell okay, so here's a few reasons why we feel that way about all terms; based on some interesting discoveries on Mars, they found cells multiplying on the surface of Mars, and Scientists claimed that these multiplying cells count as life. A human fetus is a collection of cells multiplying within the uterus, and not only that, these are human cells, DNA of its own that's slightly different from the mother's, which can be seen as a separate characteristic, and a separate body. So if life was found on Mars as a small mass of multiplying cells, then to us, it would be safe to say that all trimesters of a human fetus is life.

There’s no difference between killing a baby that is close to being born and killing a baby that is starting the first trimester. How can you justify that? In life there’s consequences (good and bad) for all actions. You choose to have sex for pleasure unprotected? Your consequence is that you will have a new addition to your life. Why give them a way out that results in the consequence of killing an innocent human baby because you made a childish decision? In my honest opinion, it’s immoral and murder. One of the many things that will cause the world to burn one day.

  • @NevynSlash

The decision involves more to it than life vs non-life. Like 98% of people, I am pro-life. I don’t go around murdering random people. I am however, not anti-choice. I don’t think people should be allowed to be told what to do with their own bodies. I am pro-choice. I believe a rape victim should have to carry the baby of her abuser just because others say she has to. I don’t think five year olds (youngest mother worldwide) should have to be parents just because others say adoption is the answer (over 100K kids age out of the system each year) but then don’t adopt themselves and/or vote against orphanage funding. I’m for late term abortion to give parents more time to think on whether or not they want to keep their baby that will be born with life long disabilities such as Microcephaly and Down syndrome which range from mild to very severe.

Placing yourself on the political spectrum is very difficult. Ideas to do with how a country should be run and ideas about personal issues (such as abortion and other 'moral' debates) are often very different. For instance, someone can despise socialism, but yet support gay marriage, abortion etc. Equally, a socialist can disagree with so called SJWs. The two do not always go hand in hand. Both sides have good and bad points.

Arya Plata I only said brain. You add black. I was enjoying the questions that she was asking herself. If you want to add race into my comment then you might want to look inward and ask yourself why you read black.

I really like what she said in this video. She seems like a great person who is very brave to stand up for what is right. That being said, I don't like how people on both sides always say that they think anyone who mildly impresses them should become president. Does anyone, without looking it up right now, even know anything more about her? Do you know all of her positions and if she would even make a good president?
