Yes they do, but I don't think they learn to use prototype energy weapons or RPGs. If some of them do, however, I'm not sure Gordon would be one of them.

Nucleus classic sights option is not useless since there you can actually see where you are shooting. The bullets don't shoot at the top of the iron sights making them useless

I'm going to come off as the hugest fucking sperg right now but there's something about Gordon and the way he inspects and manipulates guns in BM that doesn't sit well with me. it's strange given how he's literally a blank slate character-wise but he's hard to picture as someone eager or excited about the prospect of handling a firearm. makes him feel more like a brute killing machine instead of someone diving headfirst into a disaster with close to no odds of survival. the way he's depicted there just feels... wrong. he's an MIT graduate who undertook a very basic weapons training course in case of an emergency, the remake doesn't really give off the vibe that he was there originally to conduct an experiment
