Do you remember? The snow is falling And I held you in my arms and we kiss I think it was November The very last time We never said goodbye And now I cry On crystal night Where do they take you? Where have you gone? I keep wishing and hoping and praying But it's been so long Since the very last time We never said goodbye And now I cry On crystal night I wanna know Why you have to go Are you still alive? You still in my mind On crystal night Crystal night Crystal night Crystal night Do you remember first time I so you I look in to your eyes and thought That you would be my sugar Not in this life We never say goodbye Now you sent to die On crystal night So I'm leaving from this planet If I not see you I just wait until the day That we could meet in heaven Up in the sky And then we never cry Or have to said goodbye No more crystal night I wanna know Why you have to go I like you to tell Our love never ends But things just seem right Crystal night Crystal night Crystal night Crystal night

For people that don't know, Crystal Night was basically a force against jews in Nazi Germany. If you listen to the lyrics this would make since why the love interest would suddenly dissapear.

It was in reaction to Semitic gangs forcing boycotts on German goods in America and then Semitic gangs invaded a German merchant ship and dumped all of its contents into Hudson Bay. The Germans reacted to this news by having 1 night of protests against Semitic businesses in Germany. (Kristalnacht.)

If you don't get the reference "crystal night" (it's alright if you don't, they didn't teach it to us in high school), Google its German origin "Kristallnacht". Then take another look at what the Lips did with the video. Then take a look at how the DHS troops are behaving in Portland and other cities--regardless of what you think about the protests. Then remember this is a three year old song. These guys are frikkin brilliant.

Ok so this song is clearly about a lover losing his significant other in Crystal Night, but due to the video and some double interpretation of the lyrics, I was thinking that the song could be about someone denunciating his lover to the nazis and then regretting his acts. Maybe I've come to far interpretating the lyrics or maybe not but it's interesting

I get it, but I wish that songs like these didn't have to have some deeper meaning behind them because not only do I feel kinda dumb but in cases like this it makes it harder to feel upbeat when listening to it once I do know. But that's probably the point.

And then I find out what I find out . . . . I have to wonder how it is I had never heard of this before. Anyway, this song is an ear worm for me. After a dozen more times listening to it, I'll probably get sick of it in a bad way. I hate it when that happens, when a good song is too good and then you can't stand to hear it anymore.
