I feel your pain. I once got into a relationship with a giraffe for 11 years before I found out it was actually 3 men in a goat skin suit. I was so depressed I went swimming, where I was greeted by a large crab. the crab told me not to fear the 3 men who were the goat, but to accept them. the crab said if you truly love the giraffe it shouldn't matter if it is 3 men in a goat or a giraffe. love is who you love not how you love. so we swam to the end of the earth where I found the men and goat skin with a open arms. he embraced each other and now we are happy.

i'm 13 rn. School has been doing great. Coming back in 5 years. Hope the days are doing just as good when I'm 18. EDIT - Thursday, 16th may, 2024 alr gng schools been getting better but feeling worse. It's hard to explain. I've been getting better grades, studying more, being with better friends, but i've been feeling way more anxious recently, a lot more overwhelmed, and stressed. Idk i'm autistic so it might just be burnout but still I'm sure it'll come out fine in the end, i've had moments like this and it passes. This song will always hold a special place in my heart

This song takes on so many different meanings, can't decide whether that's something to hate or love. I apologise for the irrelevant insignificant story. Recently my girlfriend broke up with me, 8 months is so short in the grand scale of things, however- it was the best relationship I've ever had, no doubt about it, no troubles, no problems and no hatred Involved, just pure love, reassurance, care and peace. Alot of good time spend that I don't regret, and alot of key memories made that'll stay with me forever. She introduced me to this absolute god of a musician, been hooked ever since and worked up enough money to get a few vinyls of his. It was sudden, said she lost feelings, after I thought her reassurance would keep me at bay. Was fine with me the same day it she broke up with me, needless to say I was in shock, and still am, we move from that though. Love this song with every ounce of myself along with many other mac songs, now I can listen to the lyrics and see them in a different light from what I once would've with her. I find it more hurtful to listen to now but in a "oh well, it was nice while it lasted" kinda way. Love mac, seeing him live this July ❤

“As long as you’re next to me” hurts very much when that person isn’t with you anymore, I got replaced and my replacement is living the same things as I did, it hurts so much seeing her enjoying the same things as with me, I feel like I was a toy to entertain her while she found the person that could be her perfect friend, I never thought I would feel this. I sometimes feel embarrassed for it.

The pride in me to share when I first came to love this song. It was around the beginning of a relationship that was very important to me, one that would later destroy me for several years. I'd introduced her to mac the very first time I picked her up. Had all the old mac songs on shuffle during drawing class starting uni and thought, this was the one out of them all that was just too beautiful.. hauntingly. Its one of those things that loses some specialness when you see it become so popular and known. Those were the blissful days. Spending time on the river. Doing trippy art, sometimes with her brother who had been my friend for some time. Youth. Everyone was mostly healthy and happy. He as well as my own brother would soon after have mental breakdowns caused by their own journeys, effecting them to this day. I've gotten over my own shake ups finally and not sure what's next. it was all some sort of surreal dream. Bonus note. I got to touch crowdsurfing Mac's hand.
