The boys are definitely not breaking up, they're planning on doing this for many more years to come 🥰🥰

Glad to hear it. With 3 of them each doing a project, I'm hoping for maybe 1 every three weeks? Seems like I can't get enough of them.

@@bjspeck4337 @bjspeck4337 3 weeks? nah, 1 per month is the fastest they can go, and they can't even always make it once per month either. both Geoff and Layne have two full time jobs, and a family with a small kid, and Eli also just had a baby. so they don't have a lot of time to get projects out that quickly, with them doing everything themselves. with Eli now in the mix, it just gives Geoff and Layne a bit more time to catch up on their other job and stuff at home every 3 months.

@@huldradraco That surely sounds reasonable - I'm just greedy, but don't begrudge them the extra time. I love them and want the best for them.

@@bjspeck4337 yeah trust me, I'd love for them to drop new music more often as well. but, they're only human, and they're working their butts off day in and day out. they need a little bit of spare time for their families as well 🙂🙂

Breaking up? Given that Layne recently said in an interview that, going forward, Eli was taking on a full third of the project responsibilities, allowing each of the three to produce one project every 3 months instead of every two, lessoning the load.... I don't know, but that sounds like long term planning to me.

Eli took on a large role in this. Although Layne helped with the arrangement, Eli was responsible for the background, which was done on the LED walls of VU Studuos (where they also filmed Valhalla Calling). He built the low wall for the set and directed the video. Going forward Eli will be taking on more projects in rotation with Geoff and Layne. Each person in charge of the arrangement and video chooses who they want as a feature. That way they can carry out their vision. In fact, there will be a delay on the next video coming out because the person Layne chose for the feature wasn’t available when they usually shoot. So the set is ready and waiting (wait until you see it!) but they won’t be able to film until next month. (I’ve seen the set, and it’s something only someone who owns their own studio could do - and they’d have to be as crazy as Layne to do it!)

I loved Cesar taking the first solo line. I had never heard this song, but it is amazing, so much creativity in the arrangement and sounds Geoff and Layne poured into it. Anthony and Eli - just wonderful, once I wasn't sure where Anthony left off and Eli came in (no one sings like this any more). Such complexity - wow!

Black Hole Sun was included in the game, Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock. It was not in the game, Cyberpunk. This video is done in a cyberpunk style. Yes, Eli (with an assist from Layne) provided the arrangement. No, the group is not breaking up. They just finished shooting a new video. Eli worked on the song, creating the graphics in the background and building (with help from his wife and sister-in-law) the wall behind the group, and assembling other set pieces while the others were on "spring break" (well-deserved time off). Eli directed the video as well. This was shot at Vu Studio Orlando, the same place as Valhalla Calling, but this time they had working air conditioning. The costumes for this video were the ones that Geoff ordered for Sleeping in the Cold Below. They arrived too late for that video shoot, so Geoff offered them to be used for this one. Geoff provided the voice work for the guitar pieces.

Yep. Even the songs by VP I like less than others, I still LIKE. Because of those elements you mention. Anthony is really upping his high tenor game, too! And wow, I love his voice blending with Eli and Cesar. They all manage to sound different as their voices mesh. Also, I, too, adore Cesar. Layne AND Eli arranged this song. 💙💙💙💙

I didn't know this song before VP did it, so I went to see what it was. The video creeped me out so much I didn't really notice the song! But this one I do like though apparently some reactors are not impressed, being huge fans of the original. Some of those sounds are added in post production. VP are still putting out a video once a month. You may have missed some.

I agree with you in regards to Caesar and that incredible voice! He’s a perfect fit with VP! I absolutely adore him! I love Eli’s rocker voice! So good! The electric guitar sound was so cool! I think I know how they do it. It was fantastic! Anthony G’s voice is absolutely awesome! His rich tone and that range with those high notes! Then, of course, Geoff and Layne were on point! This is my new favorite! Already on multiple playlists!

Thank you for your reaction. I, too, think that Voiceplay does a great job of reviving or transforming elder, sometimes forgotten, songs. But I think that their real mastery is seen in that they manage to take very beloved songs, transform them, and make them enjoyable in their own right, sometimes even elevating them. That's comparatively easy for a song one is "okay with" - but much more difficult if every note and every turn of the original was loved to bits. Voiceplay did that for me several times already (albeit not with this one, this was a "liked" one, not a "loved" one). Even if I think that this was a song so iconic for many people that some keep struggling with what Voiceplay did with it. Anyway, I liked it very much and am very eagerly looking forward to their next one.

I just love Anthony G. Singing with VoicePlay he and Eli and Ceaser blend so well together it adds a tone quality that is amazing. I've liked all their featured guest as they seem to be able to always incorporate all the different people seamlessly into the group. That to me takes an amazing amount of talent from every body. I know everyone wants J.Noone back but boy Anthony or Omar Cardona is another one that fits so well also, J. Noone has a couple more years of service so guess we'll see what his and VoicePlays plans are?
