When I got mine MH used it smelled terribly and I had seen this mixture from someone on the forums for cleaning the non working gauges. I thru out the smelly packs they left in the MH that never seemed to work and changed to this between changing campgrounds and driving almost full tanks. I couldn’t believe the difference just the first time and all the gunk that flushed out when we set up at the new campground. I put the 5 gallons and new mixture in for the remainder of our trip and the terrible smells were gone and gauges have worked accurately since. That was 3 years ago not full time but always keep in my tanks when I flush to head home. Maybe I can get my tanks cleaned when I travel to Florida in the fall for a visit. Hi, fellow Rv friends, I just bought my first motor home, 40 foot. Diesel pusher. I have a lot to learn. Hopefully this video will help me flush my pooooooo….😂. I need to learn how to flush the tanks. I am very concerned about the fresh water tank. I have been told by several people not to drink from my fresh water tank. 🙁

@@DownsizingMakesCents no, I am 3rd owner, only 57,678 miles on it it has always been kept in a garage. 1995 Monaco Destiny . I am so blessed, it looks and smells like new, I mean it is beautiful. All the wood and counters are beautiful. The frig, doesn’t get as cold as I would like, but the freezer freezes fairly quickly. Fridge is an ammonia fridg. 🤔 I did call and ask for a Kleen Tank service. Thanks for great video. I live in north Florida and I am inspired by your videos.

I had to throw my coffee out after watching this! 💩they did a great job!

How can they navigate past 3 or more 90 degree elbows several feet under the rig? Maybe special nozzles?

Where did you get that tip for your pressure washer hose? It's flexible, love it! Where can I find one of those bad boys? I have the hose just need that cool flexible tip like yours...

How can there be struvite in the gray tank? Struvite is magnesium(from hard water), ammonia( from urine), and phosphate (from fecal matter). If there is, what have you been doing in the shower?

I know we had mold in the grey. Maybe he just misspoke at the time. Or maybe we mixed up the clips

@@DownsizingMakesCents That is possible! He is right about not using all those garbage products that are sold. The Calgon and Pinesol works. So does Borax and detergent. Soften the water and clean it out. I have the same Flush King he has. Best thing you can use!

I so wish we had a black tank cleaning service in the UK but unfortunately there is no such services or companies here. We are buying a second hand RV that is a year old. Any recommendations on how we can get a good clean ourselves as there’s no one to call to do a deep clean here? Thanks.

Biggest mistake is not first flush just a bit of grey. Then flush all black. Then use rest of grey to flush out leftover black

@DownsizingMakesCents I personally talked with Jim, very good til it was go time "no pun" now, nothing. No replied, no nothing. Had the wife call, was quoted and given a name of "Matt" will be in touch. At the camper all week, nothing. Will end up doing it myself. Sycamore, IL is a 50m drive from my location. Again, the KZread video are great, wish a pro would do it but I can't force them to communicate.
