It’s just marketing. Some people even use body sunscreens on their face.

I love this Sunscreen, both are great in my opinion, although I do reach for the kids one more frequently based on the SPF 50. As a white person (Fitzpatrick II) I have been through a lot of sunscreen in my life, and I am always trying to convince my friends with beautiful melanin rich skin to wear it to even though they do not burn like I do, so I have recommended this sunscreen to them. I have had 3 friends have suspicious skin lesions removed, wearing sun screen is so important, and so is finding one that you want to wear :) ...also love to support Black Owned Businesses whenever possible!

Just tried the kiddie version and it’s a winner for me. I live in Florida and being inside with AC has been drying the eff out of me but this is a life saver

Of course! the two being different SPF values and different prices is interesting, but it makes more sense to me now. Hopefully people find this video helpful!

What sunscreens do you use? I have dry acne prone dark skin and finding an affordable sunscreen has been a huge pain in my fanny. This channel has been a huge help though!

Yeeeeeessss, I was hoping for this comparison! I really am looking for SPF >40 sunscreens where possible, so I was eyeing the Kids formula from the start. I'm currently on Sun Bum Face 50 (the American organic filters one), but if I find myself adrift once again, I'll mark this one on my to-try list. 😁

It's def worth trying. I lowkey prefer the adult version's filter combination due simply to the octocrylene, but you get great protection regardless here at a great price

I love BGS, I've been buying their sunscreen since Luvvie mentioned it on her podcast a few years ago. It's awesome and even my niece who hates sunscreen (we all hate that gray cast) loves it. When the Kids version came out I purchased it right away. For me!

This was seriously just the video I needed, You’re so knowledgeable! I’m going to sub! I think I’m definitely going for the kids version because i prefer spf 50! P.s you’re so brave for rubbing that sunscreen on your eye all like that haha but I think it’s safe to say it doesn’t sting the eyes. Very important for me!

I've only tried the kids version, and I think it's a little too heavy on my combo-but-leaning-oily face and leaves my skin too shiny for my liking but it does work really well. I really want to try the matte version to see if that would work better for me

Ive been using the reg version all winter and it’s been great but for summer I’ll need to switch to their new gel

I really appreciate that it doesn’t contain octocrylene, I know it’s better at protecting but God, it just tastes horrible and always somehow gets in my mouth and eyes. This sunscreen will be a favorite for me!!!

There’s a sunscreen by the company bellflower...they have two sunscreens a watermelon sunscreen and a carrot sunscreen. Both have SPF protection but have active ingredients. It have me glow recipe vibes if they ever came out with a sunscreen. Would love to see a review

The struggle is real. My brother bought the aveeno baby continuous protection mineral sunscreen for my neice (who has brown skin) and she looked so streaky & ghostly. I felt bad for her. I'd love to know a mineral sunscreen that isn't casty for kids! BTW can you review the sun bum mineral spf 50 (larger tube body sunscreen). Nobody is reviewing that on yt!

I've only tried the kid sunscreen one before mostly because I'm cheap 😀

So I have a moisturizer with a physical sunscreen in it (Olay Complete UV365 SPF 30), I know I don't put alot on myself because of the slight white cast and getting too moisturized by putting on more, but that also means not putting enough of the sunscreen... So can I layer the kids chemical sunscreen over my moisturizer sunscreen?

I am neither a kid nor Black, but I was excited to see this at such a fantastic price! I always buy kids' sunscreen when I can, since I have very dry skin, the more emollient types are great, and tbh, I am super pale, the cast won't matter. For many dumb reasons, it's very hard to find actual proper facial sunscreen in eastern montana drugstores, they only carry fancy stuff like LaRoche Posay or really suntan-brand iffy facial sunscreens (we get a crazzzzy amount of sunshine here, even in deep winter, its always sunny in billings lol). I knew ppl had been saying that this brand is very well formulated, even for the face, so I grabbed it because it was the best price for a quality brand.

The evolution of how he says “howareyoutoday?” is my favorite. 😭

If you put it on your eyelids, it irritates the eyes very slightly but if I don’t put it directly on the eyelids, it’s fine!

Can this be used on 2 year olds?

Technically yes! Always patch test and verify the individual (whether yourself or the two year old) have any skin sensitivities, but if not, you should be good to go!

People can be sensitive to a lot of things, and while this one is intended for kid’s more sensitive skin, that doesn’t mean it’s going to be a perfect fit for everyone. That also means that it doesn’t mean it’s bad for all sensitive skin either. I recommend trying it out if you’re interested, although their regular and their face one are my preferred due solely to the filters
