My home region. Everything shown here is no more than 30 minutes away from my home. I'm glad you enjoyed it.
I am in Sicily right now, and have very poor internet, but am so looking forward to seeing this video as I lived in the Black Forest for 3 years before moving to Fredericton.

Oh, wow! From the Black Forest to Freddy Beach - that's quite the change!!
Wonderful views. I love your descriptions Audrey. So accurate!
I toured my Black Forest on my motorbike so many times. Especially the small side roads. I miss you my beloved Schwarzwald. Greetings from Alberta.
Samuel and Audrey, love your vlogs….great ideas for travel and appreciate all the work that goes into producing these videos! Safe journeys friends! 😊😊
What's crazy is that I'm watching this video when I live here in the black forest. But I just can't get enough of this place, it's the most beautiful place on earth.

Thank you for your videos, so nice and well made! For me especially it is also very interesting to see, how someone “foreign” sees the area, I live in! And I love, that you show so much food 😋 Bis zum nächsten Mal!

That the Black Forest is the place to visit. Thanks for sharing.
My kind of place to visit! Thanks for sharing.
I've searched for info on driving in this area, on google and youtube, with no luck. This video just came at the right time! Thank you!
Sam and Audrey, you really showcase so much of the world that is off the beaten path. I love your channel. You’re showing me all the places I want to visit on my next trip. Thanks 😊

I love the black forest, but I wouldn't say it's off the beaten path 😅 maybe for someone coming from the US but it's definitely very touristy.
It is absolutely tranquil and beautiful!! (So much easier than Argentina, I would think!) It just makes me wish I was in my thirties again, and still in Germany! I'm so glad you share these adventures!
Germany again! Cool, guys!

Thank you, Ken and Coreen! We're glad to hear you enjoyed this video. Thanks for watching! 😊
Loved it as usual. You guys are giving us some ideas about the next time we go on holiday to Germany. I'm leaving for Poland on Tuesday and then heading to Riga, Latvia and then to Tartu, Estonia. It's a business trip and to see some old friends I haven't seen in a long time.

Guys, you are such a beautiful couple, at first glance it is clear that you sincerely love each other, but your loyal subscribers do not know anything about your personal life. If you have a desire, maybe you should do a Q&A just about you, not about travel. Everyone is interested to know where you studied, how you met, how you keep such an excellent athletic shape by often eating not quite healthy food. ;)

Thanks for your kind message, Sergey! We do have quite a few Q&A videos if you search our back catalogue. I feel like we do at least one a year where we've answered all of those questions and more. Enjoy!

5:56-7:04 What spectacular greenery indeed! Especially the babbling brooks look and sound so serene, which makes it one of the best places in Germany to hike! If I was to visit the Black Forest, then I would definitely want to visit Ravenna Gorge!

It feels like after showing us around your new backyard in Alberta, you are now showing us our own one.😉 Another fun way to cover the lakes is to rent an electric bike at Titisee. We once did that for a leisurely round trip to Schluchsee along a smaller lake in between and we had a great time. Love and greetings from Freiburg, Germany.

Hello ! Love your videos ! Just wanted to add that if that was a cathedral, then that is for the church for the whole area , the principal church of a diocese, with which the bishop is officially associated with. That is why is was big . 😊
Hi ,good luck.
Muy lindo el vídeo de argentina Córdoba 🇦🇷
Great video! If I missed the time "month" you were there I am sorry to be a bother, but if not, what month? I find it helpful to see what to expect, either weather, or amount of tourists in locations. I loved this area and actually bought a nice cuckoo clock and had it shipped home. we love the small town/village outdoor type locations and this looked fun. Thank you again for taking us with you!

Have you been to Germany in April,and is April a good time to go to Germany?
@samuelandaudrey
Жыл бұрын
We have visited in April. I think it really depends on where you go and the luck you get with the weather. We spent time in Berlin in the spring a few years back, and while it rained quite a bit, we also has some beautiful sunny days with mild temperatures. I think if you pack for the weather, you can enjoy a destination any time of year.
Where did you pickup\drop Rental Car?
In the US you get fake Black forest ham (protected by EU law, not in the US where the "ham" has nothing to do with the real Schwarzwälder Schinken). The Schwarzwälder-Kirschtorte (cake) is not authentic in the US. Great you can try the real dishes.
@samuelandaudrey

Yes!!! We had the chance to try the real Black Forest ham on a food tour, and it tastes (and looks) completely different from what we have back in Canada as well!

Love watching your videos and always look forward to them. However, this one felt scripted and even a little awkward, like you had to go certain places, eat certain foods and then promote them which didn't come across very natural or real. Definitely not your usual relaxed style.

thanks for the video... Flammkuchen is french origin, better than pizza for me....

"Flammkuchen" is Alsatian and Baden. Baden is the region in which most of the Black Forest is located and it borders on Alsace. Baden and Alsatian cuisine is therefore very similar and some things are the same. The Alsatian German dialect is also very similar to the dialect in Baden.
