Outgoing entertaining man - You have a good point. But I think the OP meant that although the internet was accessible in the late 90's, it wasn't as accessible as it is today. Nowadays, practically anyone can instantly access the internet via their phone. The days of having to deal with dial-up and agonizingly slow internet are in the past. This episode aired probably 20 years ago. So the guy in the video most likely didn't even know anything being friend zoned. That term became popular later as the pua community grew online. It is now much easier to access information online about the dreaded friend zone or any subject.

Outgoing entertaining man - Yeah, I know all about the friend zone and I know how to avoid it. He made all the classic mistakes. I was an already an adult in the late 90's, so I remember what it was like before the internet. Life in general wasn't that much different in '98, but the internet was. The internet has definitely evolved quite a bit since then. There was no Instagram, Twitter, tinder, KZread etc, Those chat rooms were really cool though. Especially the chat rooms that Yahoo had back then. You usually didn't hook up with women that you knew, but it was a lot easier to hook up with a lot of other women. Unfortunately, the porn bots came about and destroyed that.

This reminds me of that In Living Color episode with Mike Tyson on date show.

I Miss Sally Jesse Raphael. And other shows of that era.🏈💕
