In late June 2024 I put up a series of 4 videos on a walk titled McAfees Circuit, in D'Aguilar National Park. That walk started at McAfees Lookout, and followed Black Cockatoo Trail to Enoggera Creek, then climbed to South Boundary Road.
I said goodbye to Black Cockatoo trail and followed SB road to Hellhole Break, and then back to McAfees.
This walk was to pick up Black Cockatoo Trail on South Boundary Road, and follow it down to Gold Creek Reservoir.
The walk starts at Gold Creek Reservoir carpark and climbs 160 metres on a fire break up to South Boundary Road, then follows SB Road to where Black Cockatoo emerges on the right, follows SB Road for a minute, and then branches off left on the narrow trail down the the reservoir.
Black Cockatoo meets the Gold Creek Walking Track and Leahys Break (almost), at the western end of the reservoir. The GC Walking Track was followed on the southern side of the dam back to the carpark, although the northern side trail around the dam would also equally serve.
